POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Since my 1L year I have shared my Law School journey on tiktok highlighting everything from my experience living in a new state to what it was like taking my first round of finals and now I want to share that with all of you.

Since sharing my journey I have answered countless dms, taken phone calls from prospective students, sat on panels discussing life as a law student and so much more.

Though I still have a year left of school and the bar to tackle before adding esq. to my name, I believe creating a safe space for the future of the legal profession to share their "I wish I would have known" moments is essential to success in law school. Welcome to Behind the Brief.

Hello future lawyers! Law school has been in full swing for an entire month or more depending on when your first day of class was. If you are still feeling overwhelmed or unorganized that is okay. Behind the Brief is here to help! Take a look at this organization set up and see if you can create one that works for you! I challenge you to take some time to audit your week. Write out everything that needs to get done and give it a home in your schedule. Seeing everything written out may help you make a dent in your todo list. I hope you are enjoying your law school journey and as always come back soon to discover what else happens Behind the Brief.

Providing tools to succeed academically is only the half of the job. A huge part of law school I think no one is truly open about is how much other people's expectations can weigh on you. Being a mentor is more than helping someone reach their desired goal. It is also about being uplifting in a way that makes someone believe in themselves enough to encourage someone else. As the BLSA Academic Chair the message I hope to leave once I graduate is that everyone remembers if somebody can do it that somebody can be you! Remember it costs you nothing to be kind!
