“He stood on the side of the stage and watched our entire set...” 🎸🔥

There’s an old saying: “Never meet your heroes.” But every now and then, opening for an idol turns into a masterclass in respect and humility.

From tour stories of meeting @iggypopofficial to DIY video storyboarding and writing tracks that sound like “The Kinks on speed,” this conversation is packed with real, unfiltered rock ‘n’ roll craft.

“A fiddle dances, a violin sings.” 🎻✨

Ask ten different musicians the difference between a fiddle and a violin, and you’ll get ten different answers—ranging from how many shots you’ve had before going on stage to the difference between “supper and dinner.”

At the end of the day, it’s the exact same instrument. The only real difference is the style, the spirit, and the energy you bring to it. @triplefiddle brings plenty of style, spirit and energy!

“The ultimate studio middle ground: Live energy, separate isolation.” 🎛️🎻

Tracking a multi-instrument ensemble live builds incredible dynamic energy—but one mistake can ruin a perfect take for everyone.

Using a hybrid method (recording live together in isolated booths) gives @triplefiddle the best of both worlds: genuine ensemble chemistry with the freedom to punch in a solo without re-tracking the whole room.

“I wore a tie for most of 40 years... they would never know this about me.” 🎥🎸

After decades as a therapist, Spike took his dad’s original Super 8 film camera from the early 1960s, dug through old home movies, and hand-edited them into vintage music videos for his own songs.

While former colleagues knew him strictly in a suit and tie, he was busy blending retro film nostalgia with defiant, introspective songwriting.

“What are you gonna be when you grow up?” 🧠🎸

For 40 years as a therapist and counselor, Peter ended every single client assessment with that exact question—whether the person sitting across from him was a kid or 82 years old.
