Ep. 5 is live ✨ You don’t need 10 wow moments. You need the right ones. Creating a beautiful event within budget doesn’t mean every element needs to make the biggest statement.

Identify areas/ moments that matter most, then make intentional choices around them. We call these " focal points" The seating. The tablescape. A statement bar. The rentals should support the vision, the layout and the needs of the event.

This is also where a planner adds value. Clients shouldn’t have to navigate every option or determine where to spend versus where to pull back. A planner/designer helps make those decisions based on the vision, priorities, budget and needs of the event.

Client pickups can look like an easy place to save when you’re looking at an event budget. But that service isn’t simply about getting inventory from point A to point B.

There’s transportation. Handling. Loading docks logistics. The condition of the inventory etc. 🫠

Functionality is key. If an event looks beautiful online but doesn’t flow for the guests or the needs of the event in person, was it really a successful experience?

Every professional planner and designer considers how guests will move through a space before the decor is finalized.

What I love about what Monica is saying is that @lllrentals considers those factors too. As they collaborate with the planning team, it’s not just about making sure we’re on the same page. It’s about paying attention to the details guests shouldn’t have to think twice about.

The chair placement. The scale of the furniture. The space guests actually have to move. What looks good together versus what actually works together.

Because the goal isn’t to fill a room with beautiful things. It’s to create a room that works beautifully too.

Flexibility gives expertise room to work.
A venue model that allows space for collaboration gives each professional the opportunity to contribute their expertise while still serving the vision of the experience.

A pretty portfolio is only part of the story. Bridging the gap means giving clients access to the perspectives, conversations and realities of this industry that don’t always make it onto the highlight reel.

One thing experience has taught me: effortless events are earned.
Through lessons learned from mistakes, problem-solving, and the flexibility to refine a process until you find what works.

And the longer you do this work, the goal isn’t to know everything.
It’s recognizing patterns faster. Making stronger decisions. Knowing when to trust the process and when the process needs to change.

That’s the kind of experience you can’t shortcut. So when we talk about price, we also have to consider experience as part of the investment.
