Ok, let’s try this again ….. 😆

through my debilitating anxiety;
through being unfairly laid off last September;
through leaving all that was familiar to us;
through my anger with most of my fellow Christians last year in dodging the topic of racism repeatedly;
through living with Mickey Mouse and his cousins in our old apartment in Jersey City (Jesus did NOT die for us to live like that!!!!) 🐭
through my always wanting to run when things get hard;
through fights where I may or may not have said the f-word a couple of times (leaning heavily towards “may have”);
through depression and suicidal thoughts on my end and self hatred;
through sickness and fibroid removal surgeries and helping me walk when I was in too much pain and making me oatmeal every morning and helping me to the bathroom even in the middle of the night when you were tired and showering me (and it wasn’t sexy);
you’ve been there for all of it, through all of it;
for 6 years
i think that’s why my anxiety gets so bad at the thought of you dying one day.
you’ve been my closest companion.
thank you for not making me feel like I’m “too much” or a lot.
thank you for talking me off the ledge on the regular.
thank you for representing Jesus so well and choosing me over and over and over and over again.
promise to love you for all of my days.

More life lately moments from this summer: visits to Columbia with friends whose faces I’ve missed, moderating panels for this year’s Family Orientation, a Kehlani concert, my first-ever fender bender 😭, saying goodbye to an apartment we absolutely adored and slowly making our new one feel like home, beach days, 50 Cent getting me through workouts, and NYC date days that make us feel like we’re dating all over again. ❤️

I’m unbelievably sad to see summer come to an end, but I’m trying to welcome fall and winter with an open heart—and trust that there are still so many fun, beautiful memories waiting to be made. 🍂✨ by @beingapril

Beach days are my favorite

We were chosen to be captains of the greeters for graduation because of our sunny personalities! ☀️😂 Jack, you are definitely missed!

My birthday month was FUN!
Bringing in 33 was full of love, affirmations, covered and surrounded in prayer, resetting my nervous system, and spending time with people who want to spend time with me. Plus, I am wrapping up the Spring semester after not being in school for 12 (!!!!!) years and grad school has been so rewarding.

Took a quick trip to Northern California last week to see @joshcaldeira and @itsrainingviolets before Baby Caldeira takes our world by storm in the best way. I’ve honestly wanted to visit San Francisco for a while now, especially because the characters on Full House actively raised me. Shout out to my friends for being willing to make it happen.

Life lately (December–February edition): getting accepted into my dream program, celebrating my good sis’s birthday, soaking up sweet cuddles with our adorable nephew, appreciating coloring books as an adult, selling our first car, indulging in an unreasonable amount of eggnog, cheering on our brother at his powerlifting meet, watching undergrads show their appreciation for Mayor Mamdani through art, enjoying my job for the first time in years and lastly, my literal reaction to all of this snow. 🫩 by @beingapril

Life lately 🌿 — closing one chapter, opening another.
Picking flowers with my friend who knew I needed to breathe again.
Road trips to Vermont, alongside people we love.
A new job, a second car (with all the bells + whistles), and a whole lot of laughter with my sisters (and my niece baby Jazzy included)!

My caption will not do Maui or the beautiful Hawaiian people any justice. We literally saw paradise on earth. Plus, watching “Lilo and Stitch” there was unmatched.

Life lately:
1. My human flower (@eden_likethegarden ) bought flowers to celebrate her beautiful baby girl. I loved celebrating baby Jazz’s first year!
2. A portrait of me from a little one.
3. Seeing Queen Bey with my favorite person who knew that I didn’t want to go by myself for the second time.
