@tiffsonmars sent me film images (first two) and unlocked my ig nostalgia for real.

our wedding was such a beautiful time to experience our core village and see the ones who love us and who we love be down for everything we’re about in the realest way and there will never be a thank you big enough for everyone who showed up and made this possible.

leo and i are over a year married now (spoiler: we eloped in january, but had a beautiful summer wedding by the mountains) and we still are amazed by the love and support we experienced.

thanks for surprising us with the film snapshots @tiffsonmars and for capturing/sharing such beautiful bts memories with us @logan_berri and ryan 📱 📸

we love you all so much 🥹💗

WINTER WAR ‘24 MEET RECAP
8/9
SQUAT: 227.5 KG | 501 LBS (Match PR)
BENCH: 142.5 KG | 314 LBS (+5 KG PR)
DEADLIFT: 245 KG | 540 LBS (+7.5 KG PR)
TOTAL: 615 KG | 1356 LBS (+15 KG PR)

This is gonna be a long one so props to you if you read the whole thing.

First and foremost I gotta give God the glory. Prayer was my super power this prep, it helped keep me injury free and helped calm my nerves from the moment I arrived at IZ till after my 3rd pull. So grateful to be able to move my body and lift some heavy weight.

When I started this prep I was feeling like a 1400+ meet was possible, but between working with a new coach and implementing new tech, and nursing some minor injuries in my shoulder and back, I wasn’t able to add much strength to any of my lifts, beyond previous all time bests. Even still I felt optimistic about at least hitting some PRs on the platform.

Squat:

215-⚪️⚪️⚪️
Easy opener, not much to say here

227.5-⚪️⚪️🔴
Matched a previous 3rd attempt on my 2nd here so that’s nice. I wish I had paid attention to the fact that I got a red here so I could’ve asked why. Unfortunately I didn’t notice and immediately began preparing to squat 240.

240- 🔴⚪️🔴
This one hurt. First time missing a squat on depth at a meet. I think switching to a narrower stance was a contributing factor, but honestly I knew my refs would be strict on depth and that I’d need to bury this, and just didn’t execute.

Bench:
127.5- ⚪️⚪️⚪️
Bench has been stagnant for basically a year now, but since I went 1/3 at my last meet missing commands, I knew I had plenty of room to PR here as long as I could bench to the standard. Bench went through the most changes in prep, from trying to change the angle of my press to a more straight up-down barpath to trying 3 different pairs of shoes to find one where my heels didn’t look like they were off the ground. Anyway, this is lower than I opened at my last meet, so it was very easy.

135- ⚪️⚪️⚪️
Only slightly harder than last attempt. With bench anything under 140 has the potential to move 6-7 depending on how I set up so I knew this would be easy.
