I'm so excited to share that I'm hosting another team-building event today in the studio! I love doing art based team-building events, especially when they combine with my work as a Gallup Strengths coach! #teambuilding by @beingbriemclean

What makes our market truly special is our attention to detail and our dedication to weaving the community into everything we do. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on @beingbriemclean a brilliant local artist and Vital Tide Board member of the NHCFM!

If you’ve noticed the beautiful mural on our shipping container, our hand-painted bike and car parking signs, or our weekly vendor spotlights, you’ve seen Gabrielle’s thoughtful, handcrafted work. We were even lucky enough to watch her take first place in a painting contest at the @festivalpageant this summer!

Anyone who has met Gabrielle knows she radiates love and energy. Fun fact: if you visit her studio, you’ll be greeted by custom enclosures she built for her rescued reptiles! 🦎

Our market doesn’t just run on community engagement it thrives on it. If you have an idea for community involvement, please reach out to us.

Thank you for everything, Gabrielle. We love you! ❤️

Yesterday I had the honor of participating in the annual "Battle of the Arts" painting competition at the Festival of Arts, where close to 20 artists spin a wheel that tells them what they will paint for 45 minutes while guests walk around and watch. It was SOOOO fun!! Then the audience votes for their favorite painting. I'm honored to say that not only did I WIN but someone also purchased and took the (very wet) painting home soon after! Holy smokes, what an honor. #foaartist #randfpigmentsticks by @beingbriemclean

I spent a couple days this past week painting this very serene mural in this beautiful home. After all the color I've been working with lately… It was nice for a little change. Murals are how I got into painting in the first place, and I still love painting them. by @beingbriemclean

Local Artist Spotlight | Gabrielle b. McLean

Those who know me well know I’m rarely at a loss for words, but when it comes to describing Gabrielle and what she brings to the creative world, I still find myself searching for the right ones. She’s one of those rare artists whose curiosity and creativity seem to move in every direction at once, making it nearly impossible to capture her work (or her spirit) in just a few sentences. Spend a little time in her studio and you quickly begin to see just how expansive that creative world really is.

An accomplished artist working across painting and sculpture, Gabrielle moves effortlessly between styles and mediums. With more than 30 years as both a commercial and fine artist, she creates work at an impressive scale and produces bespoke pieces designed to elevate any space. Her conceptual work has also been featured in two one-woman shows.

As an exhibitor in the 2026 Laguna Festival of Arts, she continues to contribute to the local arts community through board service, jurying community exhibitions, and creating collaborative public art for shared spaces.

And perhaps the most unexpected and wonderful detail: her studio is also home to an amphibian and reptile rescue. 🐸

I just dropped off this little painting as a donation to The Artists Fund…an independent nonprofit organization that sells donated artwork at the Festival from the FOA exhibitors every year so they can help artists in need. It's a beautiful organization and I'm so happy I get to contribute. "Caras with Friends" 8 in. X 8 in. Oil on wood by @beingbriemclean
