Just launched my firstborn into his next chapter away at college... so it felt like the perfect time to launch my updated website too. New beginnings all around! ⁠

This has been such a fun creative journey and something I've been wanting to share for a long time. Bringing it all together ended up being about so much more than a website. It was a chance to reflect on where I've been, what inspires me, and where I'm headed next.⁠

We spent the day photographing in one of my favorite places—Gabrielle McLean's art studio—surrounded by beautiful artwork, inspiring conversations, and the best creative energy. There was even an impromptu salsa lesson led by Maxfield... because apparently that's what happens when you put a group of creatives together. ⁠

A couple weeks ago, I had the honor of meeting local artist Gabrielle McLean… what a bright light she is ✨

She’s poured so much heart into her community, especially through her recent mural project @newportharborcfm 💚Watching her bring families and children together to help create such a vibrant, joy-filled piece through her Heartfelt Play Company was truly something special. What a gift!!

Gabrielle will also be showcasing her beautiful work at the Festival of Arts in Laguna this summer, and I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of one of her very first “toy paintings” which will debut in the Fresh Faces show highlighting new artists starting March 30th.

Her work radiates happiness… you can feel it in every piece. It’s the kind of art that just makes you smile 💛

We announced last month that we would most likely be closing. It’s official. So during this last art walk we are here to say goodbye and encourage all to stay connected, keep making and looking at art, have the good conversations, take notice of others, give grace and spread kindness.

Artwork played an important role in adding personality and the Avant-garde, integrating soul and developing the unique and different. In the media room, a trio of vibrant works by James Wolanin @wolaninstudio (Radiance, The Allure of Summer, Nirvana) inject color and retro charm, while Lauren Naomi’s @laurennaomifineart Abstract Party I adds bold movement and energy to the space. The billiards room is anchored by Regatta, a striking sea-oriented painting by Gregory Gummersall @abstractgreg, paired with a custom regatta-inspired piece by local artist @beingbriemclean.

Throughout the home, art continues to elevate and personalize each space—Jeff Peters’ Horizon Series B brings a sense of calm to the dining room, Gabriella McLean’s Come Sail Away softens the primary bedroom with coastal ease, and Audra Weaser’s Ocean Blues captures the fluid motion of water. Sculptural porcelain works from the Purely Porcelain Knot Series VIII: Where The Sky Meets The Sea add a quiet, tactile layer to the overall story.

Each piece was intentionally chosen to reflect the home’s coastal-modern aesthetic—textural, soulful, and deeply connected to place.
