The brickwork at 499 President Street is all in the details 🧱

Developed by @averyhallinvestments and designed by @slcearchitects, the project features a custom brick color developed in collaboration with our team, with intricate coursing and detailing throughout the façade. Projecting and recessed brickwork plays with the light throughout the day, creating changing shadows and highlighting the craftsmanship behind the masonry.

The standard 90-degree corner wouldn’t cut it for a landmark neighborhood.

At @boerumplace in Cobble Hill, Brent Buck Architects and @brooklandscape are redefining modern multi-family design. Their goal is to create a soft, sculptural, monolithic facade that pays homage to Brooklyn’s historic masonry while making a distinctly modern statement.

To achieve seamlessly fluid corners, standard field brick isn’t enough. Our team manufactured a custom 8-inch-radius external radial stretcher to wrap the building’s geometry seamlessly, without sharp lines or awkward joints. By utilizing this dedicated external radius shape instead of standard square units, the masons can maintain a continuous, uninterrupted bond pattern across the entire city block footprint.

Paired with the rich, molded character of our Belcrest 500 brick, the facade dynamically catches light throughout the day, enhanced by deeply inset window reveals and structural arches.

Currently under construction, this project exemplifies how custom clay shapes can elevate architectural form from a simple wall to functional art.

Stop scrolling past flat, boring facades.

Welcome to TERRA at 45-19 Davis Street in Hunters Point, a showcase in architectural texture. Built with The Belden Brick Company’s English Gray Velour, this project demonstrates that clay-coated brick is the ultimate choice for modern luxury design.

Take a closer look at the details. This isn’t just standard bricklaying. We engineered a custom mix of:
▪️ Ambassador and Modular Bricks to create an irregular, high-end structural rhythm.
▪️ Lip Stretcher Special Shapes to seamlessly conceal structural joints and wrap deep window reveals without disrupting the clean masonry lines.
▪️ A Premium Clay Coated Velour Finish that captures urban sunlight, transforming a neutral gray palette into a vibrant, living facade.

If you are an architect looking to elevate your next project from ordinary to extraordinary, you need more than just brick. You need engineered masonry solutions.

New construction with a nod to old New York 🧱

At Sixteen Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village, @ramsarchitects used @beldenbrickco Alamo Blend to create a façade that feels connected to the historic character of the neighborhood without trying to replicate what’s already there.

The molded brick brings a warm, natural variation to the exterior, laid in a traditional Flemish bond and paired with limestone throughout the façade. It’s a great example of how the right brick selection and masonry detailing can give a new building the character and permanence of one that’s been there for generations.

Proud to have supplied the brick on this one 👏

Standard right angles don’t make history; bold materiality does.

Take a closer look at the impressive facade of @200w88 on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. This structure represents more than just walls; it is a remarkable example of custom architectural artistry, created by Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA).

When a premier architectural vision requires a seamless blend of Art Deco presence and Art Nouveau fluidity, standard off-the-shelf masonry won’t suffice. That’s why we helped engineer a unique structural toolkit for this New York landmark:
🟣 The Custom-Molded Blend: A meticulously balanced combination of textures and tones that captures natural daylight and creates deep, dramatic shadows from sidewalk to skyline.
🟣 Artisanal Glazed Brick: High-utility, reflective accents that manipulate the shifting city light and add unexpected depth to the traditional Upper West Side aesthetic.
🟣 Precision Special Shapes: Hand-worked masonry units designed to transition seamlessly around complex curves, reeded lines, and deep-set window profiles.

At The Belden Brick Company, we don’t just manufacture materials; we sculpt them to fit your specific blueprint. Whether it’s for historic preservation or cutting-edge post-carbon modern designs, we make the impossible a reality.

Stop guessing. Start creating. Elevate your next project facade from a standard boundary wall to an architectural signature.

Perspective is everything. This is what it looks like to stand at the base of 1042 Atlantic Avenue.

From across the street, it catches your eye. Up close, it commands your attention.

Prosper Brooklyn effectively utilizes geometric variation, continuous curves, and depth to create a striking architectural identity with its masonry.

Observe how Cloudburst Blend Sanded Rustic performs in its environment. When you view this façade from street level, you are not merely looking at a wall; you are experiencing an architectural texture that evolves with every step you take.

Why build a structure people walk past when you can create one that makes them stop and look?

When 0.1 inches of drift imperils the design: How BKSK Architects achieved perfect alignment on Manhattan’s newest landmark.

Most modern facades appear flat, but for @thevillagewestnyc in Greenwich Village, BKSK aimed for something entirely different: historic depth and pronounced cast shadows.

Achieving this vision required an innovative approach:
▪️ A custom-molded blend created by The Belden Brick Company for the middle and upper tower
▪️ Cylindrical brick columns featuring both recessed and projected brickwork.
▪️ Custom header shapes with a full 8-inch return into the facade wall.

The primary engineering challenge? Achieving precise dimensional alignment. With terra-cotta bands installed between floors, our molded brick had to be dimensionally precise so that materials from two different manufacturers aligned correctly.

From sidewalk to skyline, this represents a redefinition of precision brickwork.

Learn how we transformed molded brick into a key material for Greenwich Village. Read the full project brief on our website now. 👆🔗 link in our bio
