I have taken a while to reflect on my @missuniverseaustralia.official journey.
This was undoubtedly the best experience of my life. I will never forget the happiness I felt the night my name got called as a national finalist. Flying to Vietnam, meeting 27 amazing women, working with great brands and being on national television were absolutely the highlights of my journey that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I would be lying if I said I haven’t been heartbroken that my journey has come to an end. Over the last few weeks, I have not been kind to myself. Negative self talk about my body, appearance and personality has made it difficult to give myself compassion during this time. This chapter in my life just meant to much to me and because of that, I have been hard on myself. This does not take away from the beautiful adventure that it was because… WOW, what an incredible year this has been. This is an important reminder that just because you think it, doesn’t mean it’s true. Not every thought deserves your agreement. I look back at who I was 2 years ago versus who I am now and I am so proud of myself. It has taken an incredible amount of hard work and resilience to get to where I stand today, and nothing can take away from that. As this chapter closes, I walk away with some lifelong friendships, an ambassordship with @unnecessary.shop @troybarbagallo and a very exciting life ahead of me. And of course, to everyone who supported me on this journey; friends, family and the amazing Pink Tank team, I love you all dearly. Thank you for the incredible memories 🤍🤍 by @bella.charon

Last night, I walked into an exhibition by the iconic @bromleyandco knowing that somewhere in the midst, was a portrait of myself.

In small groups, we walked with anticipation to our paintings. When I finally reached mine, I couldn’t believe my eyes. My hands were shaking and I literally could not find any words apart from, “oh my gosh.” And just when I thought I couldn’t be any more flabbergasted, I looked to my right and saw another painting of me with a completely unique look from the other.

Overcome with emotion, I had nothing else to do but give @bromleyandco and @yugebromley a big squeeze. I had always aspired to have my portrait taken at least once in my life, but I never anticipated that I would be painted by an icon. I will never forget this experience and am eternally grateful to have had this opportunity 🤍
