I thought I’d share some of the new brand elements with you guys! I wanted the branding, and the new website to feel nostalgic, warm and romantic. I really love the way the thread is woven throughout the website, the way a seamstress works thread into something that lasts. It’s symbolic of the way photographs become family heirlooms. Crafted with intention, held for generations! It’s been a mammoth amount of work, and honestly - the work is not yet completely done - but I think it’s worth it 🤍 I hope you like it! Welcome to BELOVED by Amy! This has been a long time coming, after a season of sitting with who I am and how I want to show up for the couples, families, and newborns I photograph. My business has carried my name for years, but life (including my surname) has changed. It’s time for a name that feels more like me - and like you too, since you’re so much a part of this. More than a new name, it’s a renewed promise: that every session should be comfortable and joyful, where you feel seen and truly cared for, not just photographed. The journey to get here has had a few stop overs along the way. Originally, I loved the word “woven” - a nod to my mum and nana, both seamstresses who spent their lives turning thread into things made to last. It felt right for a business that follows a family through its most significant moments and milestones, each one another thread in the same story. You’ll notice threaded elements running through the brand’s visual design, in little features and textures. You’ll also see some gold running through it, inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold instead of hiding the cracks. This came out of a prayer from a sweet lady in my life, and felt so apt for the season I’ve been walking through. It’s how I think about the moments I love to photograph too: authentic, meaningful, and worth keeping exactly that way. Then “Beloved” landed one day. Out of nowhere! Amy means beloved. And isn’t that what every photograph says? You were here. You were loved. This mattered. Simple, but it’s everything I wanted to say. Hannah and her Angus were minding their own business heading down the escalators at our local shopping centre one day. Their natural affection felt so wholesome and true and I just could not ignore it… I was behind them on the escalator and I said to myself ‘if they are still on the escalator when I get to the bottom - I’m going to introduce myself and ask them if I can take their photos‘ I just knew in my soul they would be such a delight to photograph…. Yes - they’re obviously gorgeous but it was more than that, I hadn’t even seen their faces before deciding… it was their natural affection for each other… Such a treasured memory and a fun reminder to keep putting yourself out there!! ~ A Euro summer inspired elopement shoot at Casa ~ A fun, zesty celebration of love! This shoot is a wonderful reminder that something incredibly beautiful might be on the other side of putting yourself out there!!! Thank you so very much Hannah and Angus!! I am always so drawn to the warmth and joy that fills the atmosphere when you have little people at your wedding 🤍 Children have a wonderful way of bringing out the candid in people. They make the day looser, louder and so vibrant❤️ Kids are honest, unfiltered and unscripted. Somehow, the adults around them stop feeling the need to “perform” and just be present 🤍Those are the moments I’m always hoping for🤍🤍🤍 taken in Bunnyconnellen by @belovedbyamy.wed

I really went on a deep dive when I was working on the brand refresh… I really wanted to give the logos and the brand in general a feeling of heirloom quality, the loose threads scattered throughout the website and also on some of the branding feels really special🤍 by @belovedbyamy.wed

The word ‘timeless’ gets used alot in the wedding industry…and yes - I believe it’s important that you love your photos now and even still when you’re old and grey 🤍🤍🤍 But I think your wedding WILL be timeless IF it feels true to you and your style!
