Australian Police & Emergency Services Games 2026 - Below Parallel Powerlifting Crew

These people gave up two full days to pack up, run and repack enough equipment for a 50 person comp on and Sunday and Monday, for little more than heartfelt thanks and the love of BP.

It was a pretty epic endeavour, and I can’t thank them enough.

Special mention also to @jonny_bbad @1337strength_cougan @thiccolas.sps.coach for loaning equipment plus Dion, Latanya, May and Bel from the games committee for all the assistance. by @belowparallelbc

We had an absolute ball over the weekend shooting for Dawn of the Squat's calendar this year!

Huge thanks to @belowparallelbc and @mtrvch_ for providing the space and shots as well as the models who volunteered their time to help put this together 🙌

Each dollar spent towards Dawn of the Squat goes directly to @sunlightcentre to help continue providing free counselling services for those in mental health crisis.

To order your calendar, head to the link in my bio and follow the prompts after selecting either a competitor or spectator entry 🙌

Below Parallel will be running the powerlifting comp for the 2026 Police and Emergency Services Games with 50 entrants.
Anyone who’s keen to help out on Sunday with setup and/or Monday for the comp and pack up, we’d really love a hand.
If you’re a gym and you have a spare combo rack that would also be very handy.

Dawn of the Squat is proud to be partnered with @sunlightcentre to help raise funds providing free mental health counseling for people experiencing self harm and suicidal ideation.

Hosted once again by @beyou_epc and @belowparallelbc we're expecting another fantastic year for Dawn of the Squat.

Last year our goal was $2500 which we smashed by raising over $3300 and this year, were aiming a little loftier with a cool $5000.

With our focus being on community mental health support, we want to get the lifting community rallying behind it.

Tickets are live on Humanitix for our final comp of 2026!

November 22nd is Blood & Metal VII (7 consecutive Blood & Metals is wild) and for the first time we’re opening it up as a combined novice AND CAPO sanctioned comp, meaning we’ll be squatting in the mono.

It’s 2 weeks prior to CAPO Night of the Deadlift, so you can do both, and the winners of the novice division will win CAPO membership and a free entry to Night of the Deadlift!

Entries are limited, and this comp is always our biggest of the year, so get in quick!

Enter via Humanitix or the link in bio. by @belowparallelbc
