3 days. 2 sports. 2 medals. Hell of a lot of laughs.
💪🥉🥇

The Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games are done and dusted!

🥉 Bronze — Powerlifting
🥇 Gold — Strongman

Two very different disciplines, two different challenges, and plenty of hard work along the way. Proud to have come away with a medal in both.

More than the results, it’s the people, the competition, and the opportunity to test yourself that make these events special.

A huge thank you to my coach @iron_mary_strength for the guidance, knowledge and work that goes into getting me competition-ready. And to everyone who has supported, encouraged and backed me along the way, I genuinely appreciate you all.

These achievements are never made alone. ❤️

A big thank you goes to the sports coordinators and the team at @belowparallelbc and @the_strength_junction without them the games wouldn’t have gone ahead.

Bronze to gold. What a few days! 🔥

Old gal got back on a platform for the @apesg2026 and it was so much fun. Thanks especially to the @belowparallelbc team who spotted, loaded and reffed like weapons. MC energy was next level 🤘🏼

Special mention as always to @kweef86 for being my number one supporter and feeder of foods and for having more patience than anyone I know for my bullshit (best bet I’ll be back on it in no time).

Shoutout to the incredible @e_v_king for being the most understanding and patient human to listen to my nutrition fights and backing me as an old lady who’s as determined as she is stubborn and helping me in so many ways with my mental state and training.

And honorable mention to @jointhequeue for the lift outs and near death experience 🤘🏼

I really enjoy being a strong woman. I’m pumped to get even stronger 💪🏼

Today was a big one!

I might not have done quite as well as I'd hoped, but I still managed a new PB at my second powerlifting comp in less than a month!

Squat: 82.5kg
Bench: 65kg — PB!
Deadlift: 110kg

Now I'm officially exhausted and more than ready for an early night.

We had an absolute ball over the weekend shooting for Dawn of the Squat's calendar this year!

Huge thanks to @belowparallelbc and @mtrvch_ for providing the space and shots as well as the models who volunteered their time to help put this together 🙌

Each dollar spent towards Dawn of the Squat goes directly to @sunlightcentre to help continue providing free counselling services for those in mental health crisis.

To order your calendar, head to the link in my bio and follow the prompts after selecting either a competitor or spectator entry 🙌

*Hopefully the caption actually stays with the post this time*

😱Wow it’s been ten years since I started powerlifting. When I started lifting weights I actually didn’t really want to. I was 45, doing heaps of cardio and trying to get skinny for the upteenth time.

I didn’t think I’d like ‘doing weights’ and I was a bit scared of the ‘weight room’ and of getting ‘bulky’. It was suggested to me as just something to try for three months. @chanobrien I’m looking at you! That sounded doable plus the break from doing cardio was alluring 🫠🤣.

Turns out I love it! Now have a few national records collected along the way, and as for getting bulky, well - LOL - here I am ten years later trying so hard to grow more muscle and I respect and love my body more than ever. 💪🏻🍑
