A great boof looks effortless. A perfect lean boof is pure physics. 🎯

When the water drops away, keeping your bow up isn't about raw strength—it's about execution long before you hit the lip of the drop.

Breaking down the anatomy of a clean lean boof:

Reading the Water: Spotting the exact launch pad, identifying the foam pile below, and choosing the line that works with the river’s energy, not against it.

Building Momentum: Speed is your friend, but timing is your best friend. Generating the right forward speed so the boat flies over the hydraulic instead of getting swallowed by it.

Boat Angle & Edge: Setting that precise lateral angle just before the lip, loading the stern, and transferring your weight with a crisp body lean to keep the boat flat and driving forward on landing.

When you lock these three elements together, you don't just clear the drop—you stay on line and carry speed into the next move.

📥 Ready to dial in your boof?

Tired of flat landings or getting plugged in the hole? Let’s fix your timing and technique on the world-class water of the Soča Valley

DM me and let’s break down your current stroke and set up a private coaching session to get your lines looking clean this season! 🚣‍♂️

Styling lines isn’t about paddling harder. It’s about paddling smarter.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of nailing the perfect line through a rapid, especially on my home run here in the stunning Soča Valley. But here’s the secret: it’s not about luck—it’s about technique, reading the water, and having the confidence to make the move.
Whether you are completely new to whitewater or looking to dial in your combat roll and tackle harder lines, I’m here to help you skip the frustration and fast-track your skills.
Why guide with us?
Local Expertise: Learn the safest, cleanest lines from instructors who know every rock and eddy of the Soča like the back of their hand.
Tailored Coaching: We break down the physics of paddling to match your current skill level and goals.
Confidence Built Fast: We specialize in turning river anxiety into river control in a supportive, high-energy environment.
📥 Book Your Session
Drop a 🛶 in my DMs with your current plateau (e.g., 'stuck on Class III' or 'missing my boof stroke') and let’s talk about how to fix it."
