I'm happy that my work Touch will be part of the up coming Museum Nacht at Hanover at Villa Seligmann and there will be an artist talk too!

All You Need Is Touch
Ville Seligmann 14.5.25
Museum Nacht Hanovet

From the 14th The Villa Seligmann presents the work "Touch" by the artist Avi Albers Ben Chamo.

The idea of "touch" was born one early morning in Sicily when Avi walked through the streets with an empty canvas, hanging it on a wall and inviting people to touch it. A year later, Touch 1" found its place in the collection of the Museo San Rocco for Contemporary Art in Trapani.

Avi Albers Ben Chamo is a painter and musician living in Berlin. He was born in Israel and is a member of the Iranian-Israeli peace project "Sistanagila". His work is directly inspired by the writings of his ancestor Rabbi Joseph Messas, a progressive thinker who became Chief Rabbi of Haifa in the 1960s and always wanted to connect people. "All you need is TOUCH" is an invitation to touch, to feel and to meet one's own true beauty in the mirror.

As part of the Night of the Museums 2025, the June from 6.15 pm a meeting with the artist Avi Albers Ben Chamo will take place. The work then remains as a permanent loan in the Villa Seligmann and can be visited at events.

Touch 10 is an interactive installation that directly confronts human biases, including discrimination, xenophobia, and nationalistic prejudice. The artwork challenges the conventional "do not touch" bias of the traditional art world by actively requiring the physical engagement of the audience. Viewers are invited to press their hands onto the canvas, utilizing the natural physiological interaction of human sweat to leave lasting, unique imprints. Over time, these collected physical marks transform the piece into a living collective archive and a visual statement of peace. By reducing complex human social boundaries down to the primal, universal level of biological contact, Albers forces participants to bypass conscious social biases and see coexistence through a shared, tactile lens.

I finally started the work on the Struggling Artist Torso, this sculpture will be first presented to my visitors in Berlin, and will tell the story of this sculpture who have already his own history and biography from Berlin, Paris and Napoli. There will a Kasse in the right side of the butt of the sculpture and each donation will promote a progress of the finale sculpture. Come to hear the story of the torso and to be part of the sculpture before he will travel to the next unknown destination.

I don't wait for politician to make peace, I do it myself

Ben Chamo

Conceived as a modern anti-hate work, Touch 10 directly confronts the growing tides of discrimination, xenophobia, and prejudice. The core philosophy of the work
is simple yet profound: no human being should ever be judged, targeted, or marginalized simply because of their nationality. It stands as an uncompromising
demand for peace, human dignity, and open dialogue. Mirroring the grassroots impact of Penrose’s historic tour, Touch 10 relies on the active participation of the public. Every visitor who stands against hate is invited to physically engage with the installation.

Touch 10

You don't wait
for hope
you create an opposition
you act.

#touch10 #benchamo #radicalact #peace

They told me that art is to be consumed by the eyes—a cold, polite distance. But this is the revolution, my friends. a radical act. To press against the art is to refuse the distance. I'm no longer just looking at the divine spark—we you and me) are generating it ourselves, transforming the cold void into something raw by @benchamo
