It was a pleasure to once again capture the @benchmark_evo Evo 8 at World Time Attack Challenge over the weekend. An awesome lap around of 1:32.77 finishing 4th overall in the GCG open class.

WTAC 2026 — Back-to-back Open Class champions. 🏆🏆

What a weekend. We came away with another Open Class win, putting the Bishop Evo back on top for the second year running.

Things just didn’t quite align, 1:27.481 was enough for the win, but it wasn't the lap we wanted to win on. Traffic and a red flag hampered our Friday morning run, and an electrical issue stopped the car in the final corner of our best lap. We knew there was more pace in the car, but the weather then arrived and robbed everyone of what would of been an exciting Superlap Shootout.

🔥 205KM/H MINIMUM SPEED THROUGH TURN 1 🔥

Last year Ben’s minimum through Turn 1 was 183km/h.

This year — 205km/h.

That’s 22km/h faster through Turn 1. Full commitment and a huge indication of how much Ben has learned the car over the last 12 months.

And the crazy part? Still only 280kW.

When you look at the horsepower, aero, machinery and budgets competing in Open Class at World Time Attack Challenge, what Ben is achieving is seriously impressive.

Very minimal aero compared with much of the field. Very little horsepower by Open Class standards. He’s making the time through chassis, setup, corner speed and driving.

P4 in Open Class. 280kW. 205km/h through Turn 1. 🚀

And he’s nowhere near finished.

Next year, more power is coming. 👀🔥
