Well done Lance & Luke on taking out the win in tonight’s @prospeedracing Tarmac Sprint Series in Sydney, a hard fort battle with the gap to 2nd place less than 1 second!! Congratulations to Tom & Adam who took out a class win in the Evo X and Adam and James had a great night with solid improvement on times throughout each run. What an epic 4 days of racing! 🏁

With a last minute decision to swap cars for Tarmac West, we decided to take the GR Yaris — a car that would normally be competing in Production.

With very little time to prepare, we fitted a full turbo-back exhaust, MoTeC M142 ECU, Xtreme upgraded clutch, tuned the car and made some suspension changes before sending it straight into 4 days of racing.

Gavin’s consistent, on-the-limit driving throughout the event paid off massively, taking out 1st Outright in Modern T130. The long days and late nights getting the car ready were absolutely worth it.

It definitely wasn’t smooth sailing though.

At the end of Day 3 we lost 2nd gear, making Day 4 through the tight streets of Malaga and the city a serious challenge. Having to skip 2nd gear for the entire day, Gavin still managed to hold the lead right through to the finish.

A massive testament to Gavin behind the wheel and the setup of the car. 👊

We’ve already got some plans in place to improve the car and come back next year in T165.

It’s going to be a completely different animal come Targa 2027. 🔥

Ben Trevenna put the Evo 8 through its paces in the Open Class at WTAC. 🏁

Saturday’s first session at WTAC brought hotter conditions, making it tougher to match the previous day’s times, but the tyres were working well and the car stayed cool on @motul oil.

Everything was running smoothly heading into the shootout.

Bit of an average session yesterday - a lot of red flags and interruptions. No PB, but consistently in the 1:46's. Still getting used to the new ayc tune from @benchmark.solutions which feels excellent.

Had horrible brake vibrations all day, and an unexpected over-boost on full throttle, so decided to stop (plus the Lotus that caught fire caused a big delay). Side note, how good does the combo of @artecperformance 3.5" dump/front/cat + my new @tomeipowered_jp Expreme 80mm Titanium exhaust sound! 👌
