Our 2026 Annual Be Inspired Community Day was our biggest one yet 💛🙌A huge thank you to every young person, family, volunteer, partner and supporter who joined us. Big shout out to @progressjj for supporting @be_inspireduk over the past few years 🙌The team at Progress have generously supported us by providing training gear and clothing for our young people, sending athletes to run seminars, promoting our work through their platform, and hosting fundraising events.Jiu Jitsu can be an expensive sport to get involved in, which is why creating the Grapple Gang programme within BE Inspired was so important to us. The programme removes financial barriers for young people, making the sport more accessible. Progress’s support with training kit helps ensure our youth are ready for training and able to feel part of a team and community from day one.There are so many incredible projects across the Jiu Jitsu community that place inclusion and social impact at the heart of what they do. Today I had the honour of being invited to Parliament and Downing Street as part of the All Parliamentary Boxing network led by @empirefightingchance.The network is filled with inspiring organisations and individuals who are supporting young people and strengthening communities nationwide.It’s also incredibly encouraging to have some outstanding MPs backing this work — it gives us real hope for the future. Shout out to @alexleguevel & @matchroomboxing for their support to this work! It was a privilege to showcase the amazing work our @be_inspireduk team are doing, integrating therapy, mentoring and community programmes through boxing. Moments like this always make me reflect on the incredible legacy of our late founder, Adam, who used boxing as a vehicle to change lives. The respect and admiration the boxing community continues to have for his work speaks volumes.A huge thank you to @empirefightingchance for the opportunity to be part of such a powerful network.Exciting times ahead by @beneckett

A year has passed since we lost our co-Founder and Director, Adam Ballard, and the loss still feels as profound as ever.This past year has been incredibly difficult. Adam’s absence has left a space that cannot be filled. He was a friend, mentor, and leader whose passion and belief in others touched countless lives. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and even now, the sadness remains close.Alongside that grief, however, has been a deep sense of purpose. Over the last year, we have focused on doing everything Adam would have wanted us to do.We have launched new programmes, engaged with more young people than ever before, and continued to grow the community Adam worked so hard to build. We have come together as an organisation, a community, and a family united by shared values and a shared belief in the power of young people.We have also begun fundraising for a legacy programme in Adam’s name: the Elite Athlete Pathway. This programme reflects Adam’s passion for opportunity, ambition, and supporting young people to reach their full potential. More information on this will be shared later this week.Adam believed in kindness, resilience, and showing up for others, especially when things were hard. Every step forward this year has been guided by those beliefs.We hope that Adam would be proud of what has been achieved, of the community that surrounds Be Inspired, and of the young people who continue to inspire us every day.Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past year - through kindness, messages, time, donations, and belief in our work. A message from Co-Founder and Director of Be Inspired - @beneckett 💛As we come to the end of 2025, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly challenging, emotional, but also inspiring year for Be Inspired. This year has not been easy. We were deeply saddened by the loss of Adam, our Director, whose vision, passion and belief in young people remain at the heart of everything we do. We were also devastated to lose Clarence, a valued and much-loved member of the Be Inspired team. In the face of these losses, the strength, compassion and togetherness shown by our community has been truly humbling. Throughout the year, we’ve come together in so many ways. From our 5K walk to the Quadrathlon and other fundraising efforts, we have raised over £4,000 so far – a figure that continues to grow every day. These funds will go towards delivering one of Adam’s programmes, the Elite Athlete Pathway, supporting particularly talented young people in boxing and jiu jitsu with high-quality training, nutritional support, and clear pathways into coaching or professional sport.
