Roll up to the Colajazz office space (2123 College St.) on Saturday, September 19 for a night of strange and delightful sounds from three exciting visiting acts. This 16th bigsoundlive presentation will feature Bay Area sound artist, producer, and label head Bryan Day (@bdayeyesore), whose distinctive work with handmade electronics and constructivist sound sculptures stretches back to the 1990s. Virginia-based duo Shrimp Ring (@erindemastes and Dylan Burchett) will showcase their thoughtful and engaging sound featuring diy electronics, toys, and otherwise sonically interesting objects—and you can pick up their new s/t tape released on Bryan’s Public Eyesore label. Finally, Atlanta-based mandolinist and concert organizer Majid Araim (@archdukearaim; see his amazing Magic Lantern series) will perform in a duo with hometown sax maestro Ben Eidson (@beneidsonstuff). Think twice before missing this one! by @beneidsonstuff
