Roll up to the Colajazz office space (2123 College St.) on Saturday, September 19 for a night of strange and delightful sounds from three exciting visiting acts. This 16th bigsoundlive presentation will feature Bay Area sound artist, producer, and label head Bryan Day (@bdayeyesore), whose distinctive work with handmade electronics and constructivist sound sculptures stretches back to the 1990s. Virginia-based duo Shrimp Ring (@erindemastes and Dylan Burchett) will showcase their thoughtful and engaging sound featuring diy electronics, toys, and otherwise sonically interesting objects—and you can pick up their new s/t tape released on Bryan’s Public Eyesore label. Finally, Atlanta-based mandolinist and concert organizer Majid Araim (@archdukearaim; see his amazing Magic Lantern series) will perform in a duo with hometown sax maestro Ben Eidson (@beneidsonstuff). Think twice before missing this one!

Monday Night Creative Music celebrates its first year anniversary next Monday 9/14 @eyedrum

All proceeds from this event will go to support EYEDRUM.

We have been humbled to see the response from the artists and the audience the last 12 months proving that we are all together in this, elevating each other and elevating art in this city and beyond. Thank you for your support in the past, now and the future!

MNCM is a labor of love of the curators Jeff Albert @alexandriasmithmusic @youngunkatie @iriamu.music @kebbiwilliams @ipekeginli and it is a great pleasure for every one of them to look back at the creative music that happened with their efforts on Mondays last 12 months (that built over the 25 full years of art making at Eyedrum).

Doors are at 7:30, music at 8:00

We ask for a $20 donation and we are hoping to gain extra funding since the door will be donated to @eyedrum . But the same as any MNCM we have a sliding scale and will never turn anyone away at the door.

Join us to hear sounds from the MNCM curators plus Kyle Smith @aaronkruziki @moni.moan @piedmontshamanrock @beneidsonstuff @scottburland @zyklus9 David Gray #experimentalmusic #improvisedmusic #atlantamusic #hannahhösh
