“Ever walked into a museum and thought,

‘Wow, this is a collection of things that didn’t work out’?

Well, welcome to my personal Museum of Failures.
Here are some of my biggest ‘boo-boos’:

1/ Grew up with a nickname – 3,2,1 – three girls I professed my love to, all rejected me. Two swollen teary eyes. One broken heart.

2/ Borrowed $3k from my parents to a personal development program to start a business at 19 years old. But couldn’t even make a single dollar from it then

3/ Scored a sub-3 GPA in university with a class full of students headed to branded corporations and MNCs. Felt like a huge loser then

4/ Chronic “high-performer wanna-be”. Yet reality is that I have escapism tendencies when I’m at peak-load. And then, not being able to rest fully and feeling guilty when I should be.

5/ Never gotten my fitness completely in check. Still binge eat and look to food for solace.

6/ Quite put-together with my clients and in public. But I can get sarcastic and condescending with my loved ones (they bear the brunt and ugliest of me)

7/ Got scammed by “business gurus” and “coaches” a couple times, totalling 6-figures and more

8/ Not trusting myself enough and constantly giving my power and worth away.

How do you know you’ve truly "arrived" in life?

One of my mentors introduced me to a simple yet powerful framework—the 4 Ps.
ㅤ
He said, “If you have these 4 Ps in your career, you’ve found your sweet spot in life.” 🌟
ㅤ
Here’s the breakdown:
1️⃣ Proficiency → Are you doing something you’re great at, where things flow naturally for you?
2️⃣ Profits → Let’s be real, does your career pay you enough for your dreams and needs?
3️⃣ Passion → Are you willing to endure the challenges because you deeply care about what you do?
4️⃣ Purpose → Does your work go beyond you? Is it creating an impact on others?

For me, it’s a daily practice to deepen these Ps in my life. But what about you?

Rule number one of professional speaking:
🎤 Never assume

Back when I was still new to regional speaking, this was my first big one in Hong Kong.

But I couldn't get a rehearsal slot. So I told myself it would be fine 🙃

That was the biggest mistake I made that day. And I learned so much from that one talk.

Don't repeat the same mistake I did. So make sure you do these things:
👉 Treat preparation as part of the performance
👉 Know your placement before you need it
👉 No rehearsal? Ask questions till you can see the room in your head
👉 Remember your audience doesn't need perfect. They need present

I made the mistake and I learned from it.

8 years later, with 20+ cities behind me, I still walk every stage before I speak on it.

So take it as a reminder. Failure doesn't end you. It sharpens you 💪

"What if I fail?"

I used to ask myself that so many times it became my excuse to do nothing.

But it was never the fear stopping me.
It was just the questions I kept feeding myself.

So try a better one today:
→ What's the worst that happens if it flops?
You learn. You adjust. You go again.

→ What's the best that happens if it works?
You build something real. You inspire people around you. And you finally prove to yourself what you always suspected - you were capable all along.

You'll stumble.
I have. On stage, online, in business.

But every stumble teaches you something you could never pick up from the sidelines. And one day you'll look back and see those messy moments were the ones that made you ready 💪

Your expertise isn't the problem.

Getting them to listen is 🎤

It's not because you're not good enough.

Funny thing about starting over…

Everyone thinks the hard part is figuring out the new plan. It's not.

The hard part is admitting the old one stopped fitting you a long time ago. And you kept carrying it anyway, because putting it down felt like giving up.

It isn't. It's just you being honest.

Be honest first. Everything after that gets easier.

Someone unfollowed you today.

Good. That's just your content doing its job.

Because if someone can't sit through 30 seconds of you, they were never going to sit through a 30-minute conversation about working with you.

You're not losing people. You're losing noise.
And what's left behind are the ones who actually hear you.

So keep showing up as you. Remember that clarity attracts, but it also repels.

Both are doing you a favour.

I've spoken to 65,000 people.

And even after 10 years on stage, I still get nervous before every single one.

Honestly, that's good news. Because it means you actually care.

But nerves aren't supposed to make your message any smaller.

So here's the one switch I make before every single talk. It works for me every time, and I'd love for you to try it the next time you have to speak in front of a room full of people 🌟

Don’t let your insecurities decide what you’re capable of ❤️

I built my whole business on this list.

No cold calls. No chasing. Just showing up until people knew who I was and what I stood for.

Some days it felt pointless. Posting to nobody. Helping people who'd never buy. Following up with no agenda.

But trust doesn't announce itself. It builds in the quiet, then shows up all at once.
