I would like to take a moment to speak on Vision, Entrepreneurship, Accountability and Execution.

Vision is the seed. It is essential because when true visionaries see something, it means they do so in a moment when almost nobody else can see the same thing. It is a rare gift and it is fragile. Vision is an intuitive guide pulling you towards the unknown whist asking you “trust” and “believe.” Vision takes self confidence, courage, hope and optimism.

Entrepreneurship is a different beast! Entrepreneurship takes grit, it takes humility, it takes sacrifice, dedication and paradoxically it requires you to have a firm grasp of discipline whilst, at the same time, a large appetite for risk. Entrepreneurship requires that you balance these weights when your doubters have both the microphone and the spotlight.

Accountability…Now this is the big cold plunge!

Accountability requires you to check your emotions at the door and examine the facts. It requires you to question your vision, your choices and your biases. It requires you to re-examine the narrative that you have told yourself. It is impossible to know accountability without coming face to face with your own limits and it requires that you’ve been intimate with failure.

Execution is the doing!! Execution is not the credit! Execution is when it all comes together, with or without applause. You must continue to execute after your vision, skills and accountability have all been called into question.

This reel features Global Thermostats Executive Chairman (my father Edgar Bronfman Jr), our CEO Paul Nahi, Sarah Forbes (executive office of Environment and Carbon Capture of the President of the United States), the first female speaker, Nancy Pelosi @speakerpelosi and the Governor of Colorado @jaredpolis as well as several key members of the Global Thermostat team.

I want to thank the folks that doubted me and this dream: You have given me so much strength and continue to do so!

I would also like to thank to our supporters who understand that success is not always the credit, it is the execution.

Thank you for giving me, and us the encouragement required to do this work. Onwards we go.

Hey everyone (🙋🏽‍♂️) - it’s your guy BZB here coming at you with an evening time “Direct Air Capture” drop. I have been getting lots of questions about this technology since my last post. Most asked question: this is cool but what does this machine do exactly?? These machines remove Co2 from the atmosphere! This is an amazing step forward in the fight to preserve our way of life on this planet! The thing that is so wonderful about this technology is that if we build enough of these machines we can remove as much Co2 from the atmosphere as we “emit” or “dump” into the atmosphere each year. This is really exciting news because it means that we actually have a pathway to mitigating climate change!

By building enough of these machines as we transition to renewable energy and other forms of emission free energy, we can start to make measurable gains in the climate battle, reduce the Co2 in the atmosphere and create tons of green jobs as we go!

If we do this, together we can mitigate the worst effects of climate change for future generations. It’s really time to actionize on this technology and build it to the scale outlined and mandated by the @ipcc

This technology gives us a pathway to hold global temperature rise in check!

Solutions only! ✔️✨♥️🌍🐝‼️📈 by @benjaminbronfman

Direct Air Capture machines work! We can remove Co2 from the atmosphere! The unveiling of this new DAC machine represents a major milestone in the battle to mitigate catastrophic climate change. We have a long way to go (we need to build many more machines) but the technological progress is very real. I am thankful I have dedicated my adult life to this pursuit - even though it has been a difficult and often times lonely road. I am very thankful to my family and friends who have supported me in this effort and I am thrilled that I have the privilege to work with so many brilliant people! It is possible to achieve what many thought was impossible.

Slow success builds character! This is what I’m talking about...Pictured here with my son and Christoph Gebald who is the founder of Climeworks - one of the 3 companies who has made it its mission to pull Co2 directly out of the air using machines. I first met Christoph in 2011 when Climeworks was just starting up. We started Global Thermostat in 2007. Around that time we were all just a fringe group of people tinkering with what we thought could be a solution for climate change. Now as we move forward our companies have raised a decent amount of capital and the technology behind these companies will put us in the center of the debate as to how we are going to solve the unfolding global health and environmental crisis known as catastrophic climate change. People are now beginning to understand that we must pull massive amounts of Co2 out of the atmosphere in order to avoid catastrophic climate change. Onward... Character > Ego
