📍 Church St BoysBaker, Penang

There is something beautiful about a building that has lived more than one life.

Once a stationery warehouse, this heritage space has been thoughtfully reimagined, where Scandinavian-inspired interiors sit effortlessly alongside its original steel trusses, aged brick walls, and soaring ceilings. Rather than competing with the building’s past, the new design quietly complements it.

As sunlight pours through the skylights throughout the day, the space transforms with every passing hour, revealing a different mood each time.

Today, what once stored stationery now holds the aroma of freshly baked bread, the warmth of coffee, conversations between friends, and memories waiting to be made.

Perhaps that’s what makes this place feel so special. Its purpose has changed, but its soul remains.

All shot on an @apple iPhone 14 Pro Max.

📍 Heim, Penang

This isn’t Aesop, but if they ever operated a cafe, this would be it.

Heim preserves the timeless charm of George Town’s heritage shophouses. Sunlight streams through the skylight, filling the space with warmth while highlighting its original brickwork, timber details, and soaring ceilings. It’s a beautiful balance between Penang’s architectural heritage and modern cafe culture.
