Hi and welcome to my page! Christ is coming soon so let's get to work.

If you have not given your life to Christ yet, please say the below prayer aloud; don't say it in your heart. Romans 10:9-10 says "That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." "For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

If you want to rededicate your life to God because you know you've not been living right, also say the prayer. It doesn't matter if you were born in the church. If you have not said this prayer, you're not a Saved/Born Again Christian.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Dear Lord Jesus,
I come to You as a sinner, seeking Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for me and that You rose again on the third day for my justification. Right now, I receive You into my heart as my Savior, as My Lord, and as my King. I declare that the power of sin, satan, hell, and the grave is broken over my life. From now until forever, I am Your child and I live for You. In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.

Congratulations on your new life in Christ. Now you have to forget the old life and start living for the One who has saved you.

I'm still learning too, but if you need help with your spiritual growth, please inbox me and I'll share what I know with you. by @benjeecole

I've been church hunting for over a year and look forward to sharing my overall experience and findings with you all soon.

Until then, let me share a quick experience I had at one gathering which stood out to me. My current work schedule does not permit me to regularly fellowship with them, but their ministry is definitely one of my favorites, and I will keep in contact and follow online until I get a better schedule.

Not to go into too much detail, I had listened to 'verse-by-verse' study from their founder online for a few years, but I didn't know he had an actual ministry. One night, while shuffling my Morning Devotion playlist, a certain ministry popped up that had a lot of his videos. Those were whole sermons, not the verse-by-verse study I had been watching or known him for. Because I liked how he breaks down those verses during Devotion, I knew if he associated with a ministry, it'd be biblical, so I reached out.

They responded that the preacher isn't in Pittsburgh, but he's their pastor, and what I saw was the name of his actual ministry. We had a meeting and they invited me to church.

This is where it gets really interesting. When I attended, service was Biblical as expected because I kind of knew how the founder teaches. After service, we had a really good time and I exchanged contact information with one of the sisters. When I got home, I realized I hadn't given an offering. Now, if you know me, you'd know that I don't joke with my tithes and offerings. I know prosperity preachers take it to the extreme, but I still believe in giving.

When that hit me, I reached out to the sister to ask if there was a way I could pay online. Instead of getting a payment link, I received an email thanking me for attending and for expressing interest in giving to the ministry. The email continued and said inasmuch as they appreciated the thought, they'd first like to know how I am doing financially before accepting my money. They asked whether my bills were paid, whether my family was well taken care of, and whether I had any major debts excluding car and student loans that I needed to pay.

The email went on to say God loves His children and wants to make sure th by @benjeecole

Before we delve in, this post is specifically for people who believe that the Bible is the word of God. No disrespect is intended toward anyone who is divorced, but I cannot pretend that successful Christian marriages do not exist.

To my point, there's another video out that's not in favor of married men, but then, there are videos of a couple that I have left in the comments. Watch those videos and see another side of marriage, especially Christian marriage.

I'd be a hypocrite to say I believe in God and think otherwise about what the Bible says about marriage. From the beginning of time, it has always been the strategy of the devil to destroy mankind. Guess what? Good marriages produce godly children, as we have been commanded to be fruitful and multiply.

Being that the end is near, the enemy is being more strategic and attacking that institution; that's why people need to enter it with the right mindset, as I stated in one of my previous posts. A small misunderstanding in the home and you're already looking down on your partner and comparing them with all the other "better-looking" people you could have ended up with. That's when pride creeps in and you begin to think you did the person a favor by marrying them. Some people will go as far as chatting up other people. If you really need to talk, talk out the misunderstanding with your partner.

You are not forced to get married, but if you decide to, make sure you understand what you are getting into. Just like everything we do, including our jobs, there's a manual for marriage. God designed marriage to be a one-way street, that's why saving sex for marriage is very important. Meanwhile, that is not the reality of the current world, but there's something called repentance, forgiveness, and commitment.

When you repent of sexual sin, God forgives and cleanses you. After forgiveness, if you decide to stay single, good for you. If you cannot bear it and decide to get married, that's when COMMITMENT comes in. I have made peace with people I swore I'd never talk to ever in my life again, so why won't I forgive the one with whom I went into a biblical covenant with? If you enter what's meant to be a one-way stree by @benjeecole

Husbands, Please Honor the Women in your Lives!

Something happened last week that increased my respect for wives, single mothers, and full-time students who also work full-time. It was a really quick awakening that had never occurred to me before, so I decided to share it with all you wonder brothers here.

For context, I work overnight and when I get home in the morning, I spend a few hours on DoraBen Solutions LLC, then something else before I head to bed. That's my routine, unless I am off.

Last week, I promise someone a Liberian dish. When I reached home from work that morning, it became really busy, so I didn't have the time to cook. I then decided to sleep and be up at 8 PM to prepare something. When the alarm went off at 8 PM, it was as if I had just hit the bed. I was so tired that I started looking for all the excuses in the world not to cook. I wanted to convince myself that the person would understand because, after all, we both work. However, the Holy Spirit reminded me about the importance of keeping one's words, so I headed downstairs to cook.

While cooking, still tired and sleepy, I started to ask myself, "So, if I had a husband and had to work, this is how he'd be sleeping while I cut short my sleep to make him food?" (that was very last born of me)🤣I really just started playing different scenarios in my head and when I was done, I sincerely appreciated God for the time that I have right now.

If you've been following me for a while now, you should know that I am not a feminist. However, to put one's life on hold or inconvenience oneself under the banner of marriage is something consider extremely sacrificial, and sincerely, everyone doesn't want that life.

To my brothers on here, if you have found someone who has accepted to be a shadow of you, the least you can do for her is to be faithful and appreciative. It's not easy to wake up everyday and choose another person's happiness or well-being over yours, only to be called names and/or be cheated on. Some of your wives are also in school and work full-time. On top of that, you have kids! I can't imagine dealing with the stress that comes with work, school, children, plus a cheating or unapp by @benjeecole

When I have deep conversations with people, they always ask who my therapist is. They assume that being able to laugh, love, live, and most importantly still trust God after everything I have been through means I definitely have a therapist.

I love that question because it opens the door to share the gospel. I use that question to let them know that with God, all things are possible, and if He could do it for me, He definitely can do it for them.

I once tried to counsel someone who was going through some difficulties. I was in a pretty messy state by then too, but my fingers were crossed and my faith was rooted in the Word of God, so I went through my time prayerfully awaiting God's intervention. Meanwhile, when I told the individual to take it to God in prayer, the person said, "Dora, please. You should be the last person talking about God right now." They went on to narrate what I was going through as if I didn't know. Well, I let them finish and I told them, "You are right about everything happening in my life right now, but guess what? It could have been worse." I gave the person some worst-case scenarios and told them I was grateful to God for what I was going through because it could have been worse. They went quiet, and before the end of the day, we were listening to gospel songs and looking for Bible-believing churches in the person's area.

Coming back to the question about having a therapist, the Holy Spirit is my therapist, and He is doing an amazing job with me. I am no longer shy to dance or sing gospel songs no matter where I am, and most importantly, I can now boldly declare the Word and my testimony. No disrespect to therapists, but the Holy Spirit will do far better with you than the best therapists combined. That being said, I once again encourage you to slow down and give God a try. You've tried everything else; now try God. by @benjeecole

Once in a while, God compensates me for putting up with some of His difficult children.😅

Last week, I called someone to look at my car battery. I wanted to know whether it needed to be changed, or if I just needed to warm up the car when staying indoors for a few days.

The person: Are you working tonight?
Me: Yeah
The person: Go get some sleep then. I'll text you when I am done, and leave your keys somewhere safe.

Wanna guess what happened next? I woke up to a brand-new battery with tires replaced. In a country built on "What's in it for me," this means a lot.

Indeed, you shall have what you sow, not where you sow. Ingratitude hurts, but let God handle it. Continue to be you, so that you don't block your blessings.

Pray that God uses you as a blessing every day. Ask Him to put people in your life whom you can bless before the end of the day. It doesn't have to be big. It could be assisting a coworker with a difficult task, paying for someone's groceries (especially when you see them putting stuff back as the cashier rings them up). I used to take the bus, so I know how it feels to miss the bus by a few steps. If you see that and are not in a hurry, please be a blessing to that person.

Another thing you could do is just being humble enough to have a conversation with people who think you are 'out of their league.' You know those one by the admiration in the eyes when they look at you. Start by giving them a compliment and see how their faces light up (I just remembered someone as I wrote this, and it made me smile).

As good as all of the above sound, don't miss any opportunity to share the gospel. There are a lot of gods here, so I distinguish the True God by using the name of Jesus.

Have a blessed week ahead, and don't forget to be a blessing to someone today.

I once saw a post that said "Your calling is going to crush you." It then went on to give Biblical examples about what people went through based on the specific assignments.

Based on the type of people I meet, I have been wondering, which calling or Biblical assignment involves dealing with toxic, unreasonable, and narcissistic people? I meet all these difficult people, and I can't even hate them or retaliate because I see them as souls whom God loves.

Let me give you one example so you have an idea. This one client had sent three prior checks to my address. When we parted ways, they deliberately sent the check to the wrong address.

Meanwhile, when the check didn't show up within the first week, I didn't bother asking. I was done professionally, mentally and financially because no amount of money is worth my peace. Additionally, I do my best to avoid offense because the Bible says "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear my prayers. Also, I started my business to be in control, not the other way round.

Well, after a month, when I didn't feed into the negativity, they reached out asking if I had moved because the check was returned. How narcissistic can one be!🤦‍♀️

I just said "no," sent the right address, and blocked their numbers.

The best way to deal with disrespect is to distance yourself, but such people can't take it. They'd try to still force an interaction. When such happens, don't argue, just remain calm, and maintain your boundary.

PS: If you think this is unprofessional, maybe you should start to treat people better. by @benjeecole

I watched a video of Bro. Zac Poonen explaining the above scripture to the kids, and it was an interesting angle.

He told them 'If you get married to an unbeliever, satan becomes your father-in-law, and you cannot stop your In-law from visiting.'

No fancy words, just the Word of God explained in a way that would resonate and stay with the kids. by @benjeecole

”Life with God is not immunity from difficulties, but peace in difficulties.”

C. S. Lewis

We may not notice it, but the peace we have in Christ is admirable and capable of drawing people to Him. Most Ex-muslims testimonies go like this 'I was at the peak of my career, but I felt empty. I looked at Christians around me and noticed there was this peace and calm about them. I didn't know it then, but now I can confidently say I saw Christ in them.

I smile whenever I watch their videos because I can relate. I have been through the unspeakable, but I've never lost my peace, and that's how I know I am in good hands. It hasn't been easy, but my life has never declined. Maintenance has been consistent, and I owe it all to God.

I heard a preacher say there's a void in every man that only size of God can fill. If you're lacking Jesus, more money, another degree, job, travel, etc, will not fill that void.

Accept Jesus today and experience The Peace that surpasses all understanding. by @benjeecole

You know, I've been watching a lot of ex-muslims share their testimonies, and it's amazing the depth of their encounters. However, I watched a video on Thursday morning and the lady said all she did was use her intellect. She said she asked questions, read the Bible, and used her common sense. That video was one of my favorites so far. If people really leave out emotionalism, and use common sense, they'd know the fake from the real.

Satan is working really hard, but Jesus said "It is finished." The harder the enemy works, the more awaken people become.

Why would any true believer make/worship graven images or travel miles away to kiss a black rock when Exodus 20:3-5 says
"You shall have no other gods before me."
Verse 4 explicitly states "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in Heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. In verse 5, it goes on to say "You shall not bow down to them or/nor serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God....."

Interestingly, the people who do all of the above are the people who claim superiority over other believers when in fact, their doctrines are rooted in Biblical errors. Islam says it is the true religion and Catholics believe they are the standard of our faith. How?

Yesterday, I had sorry in my heart just thinking about how much we hurt God. Imagine doing everything you can to have your children with you for eternity, and they decide no, we want to go with our deadbeat daddy😢Meanwhile, God's unconditional love wouldn't allow Him to give up on us. He uses every means possible to reach out and reveal himself to us.

Brethern, God does reach out to people in different ways, but we are intelligent beings and it'd be helpful to use our intellect if we have doubts about Him. Say no to the deception. Satan is doing everything to take as many with him as he can. Please don't be a victim. 🙏

May God bless and keep us all in the name of Jesus, amen. by @benjeecole

Right now, you may be thinking admission to the university, promotion on the job, having a baby, etc, is all you need to feel fulfilled in life.

Let me assure you that one day, by the grace of God, you'll have everything you've ever wanted, and if you are not right with God, that void will still be there. The sad part is that some people lose themselves while chasing all those things, so when the loneliness at the top hits, God is the last Person on their mind. They don't remember to go to Him. They instead turn to the world because they've be blinded by thier achievements.

Brothers and sisters, it's by the grace of God that some of us were able to repent and get in line, and that same grace is available to you. Please don't fall for the enemy's lies. No amount of money can give you the peace and fulfillment your soul seeks. God has a plan for everyone, but we must first trust Him with our lives.

Nothing on earth is worth going to hell for. Have you ever grieved the Holy Spirit to the point where He went quiet on you for a while? Well, if you know that feeling, then you'd know that you do not want to live outside of the presence of God for eternity. I know life is hard, but you are already barely making it by yourself, so why not give God a try?

I love and want to see you in Heaven. Please open your heart and accept The Way.🙏

May God bless and keep us all in the name of Jesus, amen. by @benjeecole
