(WWW!), a group exhibition curated by Sofia Garcia (@sofiagarcia) of ARTXCODE and curatorial duo LAN Party (@bennakim and @benoit.tokyo), celebrating the website as an artistic medium and marking the 30th anniversary of Rhizome, the pioneering institution for born-digital art and culture.⁠

From the playful interventions of 1990s net.art pioneers to the poetic web experiments of artists navigating today’s algorithmically saturated internet, WWW! honors the website as an enduring site of experimentation, identity, and autonomy. ⁠
⁠
Presented as live websites installed physically across the gallery, this exhibition bridges generations of artists to show how the website remains a radical artistic space: one that belongs to no platform and answers to no algorithm.⁠

The full artist lineup will be announced on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.⁠
⁠
Works in the exhibition will be available for acquisition through a sale hosted by Fellowship (@fellowship.xyz ), with proceeds benefiting Rhizome’s work as a memory institution for digital art.⁠

𝙉𝙤𝙣-𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨, the debut book from LAN Party (@bennakim & @benoit.tokyo), is a collection of essays, short stories, interviews and visuals that explores the figure of the NPC as a cultural symbol, internet trope, social mirror, and conceptual vessel.

The book gathers the contributions of eight theorists, curators, artists, journalists and game modders, and is one of the first efforts at assembling disparate ideas and explorations of what the NPC is, what it does, and how it might even speak back. Through it, we explore what the NPC phenomenon reveals about our own humanness in the age of Big Tech and AI accelerationism.

Vienna Kim and Benoît Palop take the communal culture of early LAN parties and turn it into a curatorial method. Working between Paris and Tokyo, their practice moves through digital art, gaming, internet subcultures, technostalgia, and the connections that form around screens.

In this month’s ENTER, Vienna and Benoît speak about the curator as an NPC, humor and play as research methods, and what disappears when culture is filtered through platforms and algorithms. They consider how to remain fluent in internet culture without being consumed by it, and why the web’s broken links, obsolete tools, and messy histories are still worth curating.

Sneak preview of my upcoming talk 𝗪𝗼𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟬-𝗡𝗼𝘄 as part of the 𝘓𝘈𝘕 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 webinar series.

Organised by Vienna Kim (@bennakim) and Benoît Palop (@benoit.tokyo), this year’s school focuses on video game art with discursive classes led by Alice Bucknell (@alicebucknell), Chia Amisola (@hotemogf), Janne Schimmel (@janneschimmel) and me - Elliott Burns (@burnselliott) of Side Quest (@sidequest.osp). Classes run every Friday starting on the 10th and ending on the 31st July, at 6pm CET / 12pm ET.

• Alice opens on the 10th with a session covering the affective and ecological possibilities of indie and artist-made games.
• Side Quest follows on the 17th with a brief history of the art game as a political proposition, from war-on-terror modification to worldbuilding strategies.
• Chia session on the 24th involves a participatory playthrough of their 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘞𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 (2026) dating simulator.
• And Janne finishes on the 31st by exploring the material conditions of gaming hardware and software.
