This morning on my way to work, I spotted a little van, driving in the opposite direction, that looked familiar. I’d been following @mrcatscoffee.co coffee pop-ups online. I had been digging the marketing with the mysterious location drops, and had been meaning to catch one to show some love.

I’d already driven about a mile and a half down the road when I thought, I have to turn around. Sure enough, he was posted up on a little side road pull-off by the reservoir, getting ready to set up. I pulled over and called out, “You boys making coffee?” CJ immediately recognized me and told me to pull up.

@exstnce_ made me a beautiful Colombian Wush Wush pour-over right there by the lake, on my way to work. Afterward, I invited him and his homie/my new homie @promknight back to @thoseguyscoffee, showed them around a bit, and drank way too much espresso.

Today was just a small reminder of what coffee is all about for me. Those unexpected, unforgettable experiences. Coffee is the vessel, but it’s the people and the moments that make it special. That’s why I love coffee.

Big respect to James of @bhive.coffee, that Wush Wush was delicious 💯

A lot of things in this world are out of my control.

But this V60 isn’t.
