There’s something really special about what Ted and Ben have created at Atlas in Ellijay, but I think what makes it special starts with the two of them.

Ted and Ben are two of the kindest, most intentional people, and you feel that in everything they do - the way they welcome you, the stories they tell, and the genuine care they’ve put into creating a place where people can come together and somehow feel right at home.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was getting to document them as they prepared for an al fresco dinner with their friends from @34thdegreewinemerchant . Tagging along as they brought their own personality and flair to the evening was such a gift, especially getting to see everyone end the night around a table together. And much to my daughter’s joy, there were s’mores on the deck afterward!

And then there were the mornings on the farm. 🐓

“Farmer Ted” and “Farmer Ben,” as Alice now calls them, showed her the ropes - putting her to work with the animals and letting her get right into learning the process of growing and gathering food.
There was something really special about watching her experience that. Getting dirty, helping, and seeing the hard hard work behind the beautiful things we get to eat and experience. And if you know me, you know I was enthralled by all of it. 📝

Every part of Atlas feels intentionally considered. The interiors are stunning, but it’s the stories behind everything that really got me - pieces collected from Ted and Ben’s travels, little details with meaning, things that make you stop and ask, “Where did this come from?” or “Why did you choose this?” The whole place feels like a reflection of the life they’ve built together.

But I think that’s what made the trip so memorable for us.
It wasn’t just that we stayed somewhere beautiful.
We got to slow down. Enjoy nature. Work and play, eat really well, sit around a fire, meet wonderful people, laugh a lot, and let our daughter experience a completely different rhythm for a few days.

It felt like we were invited into someone else’s world for a little while - and I’m so grateful we were.

Stockholm was such a magical trip, it’s deserving of its very own IG post. Planning to see @robynkonichiwa in her home country was the original reason for the visit, but we decided to keep the trip even after the show was canceled - and thank ABBA we did, because this city in summer is the real Scandi-deal. Not only was it a sauna-sweating, archipelago-dipping, meatball-eating, never-ending midnight sun of a vacation but it also gifted us some premium friend time with @annielizw @doyleagram @gabsalana and @fistones ✨✨✨ highly recommend lunch at @etthemstockholm followed by approximately 400 bottles of Rosé, Fika every goddam day and an afternoon spent on a floating sauna with not a single care the world 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪 taken in Stockholm, Sweden by @bennyc86

A quick reminder to always: jump in the ocean, go to Stockholm even though the Robyn concert got cancelled, dance in the streets with your friends, eat McDonalds at 10pm, fly to Ibiza, do the boat day, get the dessert (x2), stay out till 5am, eat Jamón Ibérico every day, drink 1000 tinto de veranos, normalize five-hour lunches, embrace sauna culture and dip yourself in the Mediterranean at least once a day ✨✨✨ taken in Balearic Islands by @bennyc86

Last week I had the opportunity to celebrate my 40th birthday surrounded by some of my favorite people, in one of my favorite places. This Mediterranean gathering, along with all of the messages, calls and birthday wishes reminded me how lucky I am to have so many beautiful souls in my life. FIVE YEARS ON THE FARM! We’ve come to learn that one of life’s biggest gags is that it can deliver you something - or somewhere - unexpected… and that thing can slowly become the thing you never knew you needed. Half a decade since arriving here in 2021, the farm is well and truly home. Our favorite place, and one we have the pleasure of sharing with friends, family and guests. A place where we’ve established new traditions, unlocked core memories and, naturally, driven drag queens around on a tractor. We’ve built cabins, grown millions of tomatoes, hosted weddings, been in awe of honeybees, learned about the dark side of miniature donkeys, run away from snakes and developed a level of patience that only nature can teach you. Summing all of that up in 20 photos is an almost impossible task - but one that’s reminded us how special this place is and - more importantly - how special all the people we’ve shared it with are 💞💞💞 taken in Ellijay, Georgia by @bennyc86
