¡ Día de los Muertos ! Today, I remember my dearly departed loved ones with joy and gratitude for our time together and invite them back to celebrate for just a bit. My Ofrenda this year is decorated with photos and goodies; and reminds me how much I am loved and how much I love all these dear ones. Tucson will have its celebrations all week, ending with a procession this weekend.⁣ .⁣ #bentoextraordinarybling #ofrenda #allsouls @artedelavida by @bentobling
A volunteer sunflower is modeling my beautiful rope of Flower Island pearls with an emerald and diamond clasp. They just get better and better!⁣ .⁣ bento.us.com⁣ .⁣ ⁣ #bentoextraordinarybling #SouthSeaPearls #Palawan #FlowerIsland #Pinctadamaxima #GoldLippedOyster #jewellerydesigner #AGTA #operalengthpearls #PhilippineSouthSeaPearls #GIApearlsgraduate #agtamember #handknottedpearls #GIAgraduatepearls #AddMoreColorToYourLife by @bentobling
Sun Catcher's by my front door in Tucson make me happy every time I come around the corner! These are mid-century brutalist imprisoned glass hangings by Mexican artist Felipe Derflingher that were acquired a few years ago by my friends at @artedelavida. #filipederflingher by @bentobling
I just love any color of moonstone. The feldspars really know how to shine! Tahitian pearl clasps add to the mix. ⁣ .⁣ Moonstone’s mystical presence, known as adularescence, is created when light scatters between alternating layers of orthoclase and albite that have formed within this opaque to translucent variety of feldspar mineral. Feldspars make up more than half of the earth's crust and give us the ethereal moonstone as well as sunstones, labradorite and amazonite, each having their own special light scattering qualities. Moonstones are aptly named because of their glow, reminiscent of soft moonlight. These stones come in a variety of colors and translucency, the most well known being the rainbow or blue flash moonstone with its clear appearance that flashes with blues. Other beautiful colors are gray, chocolate brown and peach, often having a moonlight gray glow. Moonstones are a gem of calmness, balance and femininity, encouraging reflection and insight.⁣ .⁣ bento.us.com⁣ .⁣ #bentoextraordinarybling #finejewelry #girlsjustwantrealjewelry #finejewellery #jewelrydesigner #AGTAmember #GIAalumni #moonstones #graymoonstone #moonstonenecklaces #Tahitianpearlclasp by @bentobling
Late summer arrangements bring on a subtlety of color that gives a hint of what's to come. Find the right vase and everything falls into place!⁣ .⁣ banto.us.com⁣ .⁣ #northroutt #highcountryliving #bentoextraordinarybling by @bentobling
Oh Mr. Moon! Rainbow Flash Moonstones with 18K Gold sparkle most at night against black or white. It's time to squirrel away the good stuff. Ethiopian opals in nutty hues look great with high karat gold. The earrings are turquoise with antique India high karat gold beads. ⁣ .⁣ bento.us.com⁣ .⁣ ⁣ #bentoextraordinarybling #finejewelry #girlsjustwantrealjewelry #finejewellery #jewelrydesigner #ethiopianopals #18Kgold #oneofakindjewels by @bentobling
Dreaming of green! The cows have arrived for the summer, but the pond is much lower and the grass is much drier. I like this scene from a couple of years ago better! Come on rain!⁣ .⁣ #bentoextraordinarybling #highcountryliving #northroutt by @bentobling
It took several years to find just the right emeralds - old Russian- for these ancient Khmer gold beads. The beads are gold over lak, an organic resin secreted by 𝘒𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘢 insects that was used as an inner filling for hollow metal. Very elegant!⁣ .⁣ bento.us.com⁣ .⁣ #bentoextraordinarybling #oneofakindjewelry #russianemeraldbeads #khmergold #girlsjustwantrealjewelry #finejewellery #jewelrydesigner by @bentobling
High Country Living. Harking back to a couple of years ago when things were green all summer. Keeping my fingers crossed for monsoon rain!⁣ .⁣ #bentoextraordinarybling #highcountryliving #westerntable #alfrescodining #northroutt by @bentobling
