From academic programs and campus life to financial aid and scholarships, it’s a chance for students and families to get answers, explore their options and see what’s out there.

Benedictine University has been awarded a $2.77 million federal grant through the U.S. Department of Education's Title III Strengthening Institutions Program to support Catalyzing Student Success, a five-year initiative designed to help students build a strong foundation for college, overcome academic obstacles, and make steady progress toward graduation and meaningful careers.

The project will serve approximately 2,000 undergraduate students across the University's Lisle and Mesa campuses, expanding access to personalized academic support, strengthening teaching in foundational courses, and improving technology that connects students with learning opportunities and timely assistance.

"At Benedictine University, student success is a responsibility we all share," said President Joseph J. Foy, PhD, OblOSB. "This grant allows us to deepen that work, strengthening support systems, teaching, and technology that help every student thrive. It is an investment not only in our students, but in the communities they will go on to serve."

Due to today's weather conditions, including rain and thunderstorms, we have made the decision to cancel today's Oktoberfest Lisle event for the safety of our guests, staff, volunteers, and vendors.

Oktoberfest Lisle was scheduled to take place rain or shine, but with unsafe weather in the forecast, and excessive standing water within the tent, cancelling today's event is the safest choice for everyone involved.

While our standard event policy does not provide refunds due to inclement weather, we understand the unique circumstances of today's cancellation. If you pre-purchased tickets for tonight's event, please contact phardy@ben.edu to discuss your options.
