Puzzle Pieces 🧩
My 8th album. 13 songs. October 2nd.

I’m so proud of this project. Two years in the making.
13 diverse songs that truly represent my mission to make high quality, meaningful music, specifically crafted for the whole family. Lyrics and stories that belong to kids paired with musicality that is layered, intentional, and detailed.

I didn’t make this album alone. I have to take a moment to thank my creative partner, co-writer, executive producer, and mixing engineer. He’s a multi-instrumentalist who is incredibly talented and I’m so lucky to be able to call him my friend. @dunnadidit we did it again! Album 8!

This song is about getting dressed. It’s called ‘Get Dressed’

You can listen to this when you get dressed. Or if you’re a parent you can hit play when your kids are getting dressed. It might help your kids to get dressed. 😜👖👚👕🧢👟

We had the absolute privilege of hanging out with @arlomaverick over the weekend. He came to mentor Sam and Elliot as part of our @storyhive docuseries. The series follows the two young musicians as the create music across #yeg spaces being mentored by different local artists along the way. So excited to share everything they did!

You can watch the series, Creative Composers, next fall on Telus Optik TV. Huge shout out to @epldotca for being a part of this episode and for creating such amazing spaces for us to collaborate together.

Going to sleep can be scary for little ones. I remember it was often a challenge helping my kids to fall asleep. When you really stop to think about it, it makes sense. My kids used to ask me things like:
“Will I be alone in my dreams?”
“How will I know to wake up?”
“Why is it so dark when I close my eyes?”
They were scared to drift off to sleep to a place they didn’t control and didn’t understand. So we would talk about sleep. Why do we need sleep? What happens to our bodies when we sleep? Who else sleeps?

Track number 13 from my new album is a soothing visual journey through the animal kingdom paired with calming melodies and rhythms to help with sleep anxiety.
Sweet dreams.
