12 years ago Anthony Hamilton Russell made it possible for us to start our journey as wine producers. With his guidance, support, generosity and expertise we find ourselves growing Pinot noir on our own farm in Tesselaarsdal Overberg and recently got approval on the extension of own WO Hartebeestrivier. The wines from our own property will be released 2031. Receiving this picture today made me immensely proud and the proudness goes both ways. Celebrating women in wine 🍷✨

In celebration of Women’s Day, yesterday’s tasting at Wine Village Hermanus was a beautiful opportunity to raise a glass to the women who continue to shape South Africa’s remarkable wine industry.

I had the privilege of pouring Tesselaarsdal Wines on behalf of Berene Sauls, alongside Ntsiki Biyela, who was sharing her own Aslina Wines. A testimony of two women, two distinctive journeys and two powerful South African wine stories.

Their stories are part of a much bigger one: the incredible women across our vineyards, cellars, businesses and communities whose talent, passion and determination continue to move our industry forward.

Here’s to the women behind the wines, the stories behind the bottles and those continuing to pave the way. 🥂
