Opening up on the internet always feels scary, but there is an immense sense of empowerment in owning my own story.

Sometimes I wonder whether I regret anything I’ve done in the past five years, but the truth is that each and every one of those decisions have led me to where I am today. And I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Sian, Caro and I always joke that our 2026 motto is: I will succeed because I am insane. But I will succeed, not because I am insane, but because I want to create a safe space online.

Somewhere readers can share their love for books, and where indie authors feel supported and cherished. I don’t know what that looks like yet, but I know that I am very excited to find out together.

Thanks for being here 🫶🏻

These are the 5 books that have made me feel like I’m 16 and daydreaming about my first crush again:

📖 Love and Other Brain Experiments by @hannahbrohm
Frances is attending a conference organised by her very successful ex-boyfriend, and whilst she would rather not see his face ever again, she knows it could be the opportunity to finally step up her neuroscience career. So she ends up recruiting the help of her academic nemesis and ropes him into a fake-dating situation

📖 Road Trip With a Vampire by @jennalevinewrites
Peter has lost all his memories. He doesn’t know who he is and what he’s doing in California. Zelda, who has left her former wild life as a vampire and life of the party, must help him retrace his steps and find answers to all his questions

📖 Deep in Love by @authornicolecubba
Charlie’s dream as a marine biologist has always been to be part of a research project on the SeaStar vessel. So much so, that she’s willing to overlook having to spend three weeks at sea with Mateo, her academic rival (and secret admirer)

📖 Nightshade by @autumnwoods.author
Ophelia’s mission is clear: find who murdered her parents. That’s the only reason she accepts to study at the prestigious Sorrowsong University. The problem? Her path keeps crossing with the son of the man she thinks killed them

📖 My Lady Jane by @cynthiahand @brodiashton @unicornwarlord
Jane’s mother is obsessed with power, and her latest move includes marrying her off to a stranger. As if things couldn’t get worse, her favourite cousin, king Edward, has just disappeared and she is the only person competent enough to find him

Do you read cozy fantasy?

I may have just crowned my favourite cozy fantasy of 2026 (?!) and we’re still in 2025…

Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by @heather_fawcett needs to be added to your tbr/new releases list immediately! It has the best whimsical vibes AND the cutest romance subplot. Need I say more?

Thank you @netgalley and @delreyuk / @orbitbooks_uk for an early e-copy of the book! 🐈📚

Not to be dramatic but Everett Sharp is your new book boyfriend!!

He is so handsome, charming, ruggish, a bit of flirt, has such a way with words, did I say handsome already? Oh don't forget his cheeky smile, his thoughtfulness and caring nature, his fake little smutty glasses, simply put he is perfect 🤭

But if you take aby recommendation from either me or Berta trust thatTwig's Travelling Tomes by @gryffinmurphywritesbooks is just the perfect cosy whimsy romantasy, it has a magical bookstore, low stakes adventure, a charming rogue, adorable found family and magical creatures and should be on everyone's autumn tbrs 🍂

Had such a great laugh filming this with @bertaonbooks

📖 Wild in Love by @authornicolecubba

The new queen of contemporary romances is here, and I need you to fangirl about her with me!!

I had the best time reading Wild in Love, even if it felt very raw and personal at times. I knew Nicole was a genius, but I did not expect her to create a carbon copy of me (minus the hair lol!). Sofía’s journey is proof that all it takes sometimes is someone who will hold your hand and force you to have some fun (the full-wardrobe makeover was a nice bonus hehe)

This post is NOT an ad because I purchased this copy of the book. However, I received an early copy and I am part of Nicole’s street team 🫶🏻 by @bertaonbooks

📖 Lost in Love by @authornicolecubba

Out December 2026! ❤️‍🩹

I may be biased, but Amy’s and Oliver’s story is the best book Nicole has ever written!! When I tell you that I think about it EVERY DAY, I mean it.

And how incredible is this cover by @summerrgrove 🤭
