Today, March 4th, Best Buddies Louisiana is proud to celebrate Spread the Word Day — a global movement and day of action dedicated to ending the use of the r-word.

The language we use matters. Words shape beliefs, beliefs shape attitudes, and attitudes shape actions. When harmful language becomes normalized, it impacts our friends, our communities, and especially individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

At Best Buddies Louisiana, we are committed to building a more inclusive world — one where everyone feels valued, respected, and accepted for who they are.

Today, we challenge YOU to be part of the movement. Speak up. Choose inclusive language. Lead with kindness. Advocate for respect.

How will you choose to spread the word? 💜 #spreadtheword #inclusion #bestbuddieslouisiana by @bestbuddiesla
