Somewhere between “What do you want to be for Halloween?” and “What are we doing for New Year’s?”
I became a seasonal employee in my own damn house. 🤦‍♀️🤣

Costumes. Thanksgiving dinner. Christmas gifts. Spending three hours getting everyone ready for an activity they’ll enjoy for twenty minutes before asking what’s for dinner.

Then somebody says, “We should do this every year!”

Please stop renewing my contract without speaking to me. 🍷😂

I swear I was doing something. 🤔🤣

Then I walked through the kitchen, saw something that needed to be put away, remembered the laundry, answered a text, picked up somebody’s shoes, started wiping down the counter and somehow ended up in a completely different room.

Now I’m standing there like… wait. Why did I come in here? 😂🤦‍♀️

I don’t get distracted. I just keep finding more things that apparently need me. 🤣

My husband is at work today, so I’m running the entire Saturday sports department. Transportation. Catering. Equipment management. Emotional support. 🤦‍♀️🤣

An early game, tryouts, and two more games. And yes, I’m taking my kid to tryouts for an opportunity to make this schedule even worse. Apparently, I’m part of the problem. 😂

I’ve packed snacks, water, and everything everyone will ask me for while standing directly next to the bag.

And after all that, from the back seat: “Are we doing anything fun today?”

Yes. We’re going home. Mom has been looking forward to it since we left. 😭🤣

Every morning, I’m apparently the only person who remembers we’ve done this before. 🤦‍♀️🤣

“We’re leaving in ten minutes.” No response.
“We’re leaving in five minutes.” Still nothing.

“I’m walking to the car.” Suddenly, we have two urgent needs, a missing shoe, and a paper I was supposed to sign last Tuesday. 😂

Apparently, my family doesn’t respond to time. They respond to the sound of me losing it. 🤣

Then everyone strolls out like I’m the dramatic one.
Love that for us. Same time tomorrow, since apparently we still need the practice. 😭🤣

Apparently, “we’re all getting older” was not a group agreement. Some of you have opted out. 🤣

I’m over here putting on night cream and hoping for the best, while everyone else is coming back from “a little time off” looking like we graduated in different decades. 😂

And listen… I’m not judging. I’m asking for names, prices and whether I can still do school pickup afterward. 👀🤣
