✨Artist Spotlight | Bethany Leaman

Step into Bethany Leaman’s world, where gardens become sanctuaries, landscapes breathe alongside the body, and tenderness is treated as a quiet act of resistance.

Through luminous oil paintings and imagined worlds, Bethany invites us to slow down and consider the beauty of care, belonging, and the gentle ways we are shaped by the spaces—and the people—that hold us.

Her work reminds us that sometimes the most extraordinary places are the ones where we feel safe enough to bloom.

✨ Experience Bethany’s work as part of Winter Whimsy, where contemporary art opens portals into worlds of wonder, memory, and imagination.

🗓 11 July
🕔 17:00 till late

📍 DM us to be added to the guest list.

We can’t wait for you to discover the magic she’s bringing to this exhibition. 🌸

“The garden is not just a symbol. It’s a way of being.”
In Bethany’s work, sorrow and sanctuary live side by side.
Water becomes memory, mourning, surrender.
The garden becomes rebellion, reclamation, healing.

Her latest pieces—this house of sorrow swallows me whole and haunted—immerse us in a surreal, emotional terrain where homes are submerged and bodies bloom. Grief is not hidden here. It’s nurtured. Composted. Transformed.

A quiet kind of activism pulses through her practice: one that honours slowness, softness, and care as radical acts.
To feel is to resist.
To tend is to transform.

See her work this June at Blue In The Face at AA Gallerie.
