Kid’s yoga and story time.

Our faces are still hurting from smiling! Kids’ yoga during half term was such a hit.

Weaving stories and movement together to spark little imaginations was a joy to watch.

We know lots of you have been asking for a permanent kids’ class. It’s something we’re looking into. In the meantime, keep an eye out for our next sessions this October half term.

Thanks to @bethcooksonwrites and @cleopatrayoga

📚 Yr 2s Read & Yoga 🧘‍♀️

Just about dodged the storm this morning to meet the wonderful Yr 2s @garlingeprimary 💚

We read Margot, shared our favourite bits about Margate, and they showed me how brilliant they are at yoga!

Thank you so much for inviting me, I can't wait to come back next year! 🙏 taken in Margate, Kent by @bethcooksonwrites

What a success 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 kids yoga and story reading with @bethcooksonwrites

My face is still hurting from smiling yesterday at the cuteness.

Sitting around in a circle getting to know what everyone loves about living by the sea, a reading of Margot the Mermaid from Margate and an ocean themed kids yoga class ❤️

Expect this every half term now folks. Our next ones will be announced for the summer for kids ages 2-11

What a special moment for the children to go home with a signed copy of the book too! 📖

A huge thank you to Beth Cookson, a local author who wrote 'Margot the Mermaid from Margate', for visiting our school!
Our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children had such a wonderful time listening to your story, asking lots of thoughtful questions, and meeting a published author! It was extra special for those who had their books signed—something they will treasure for a long time.
Thank you for inspiring our young readers and making it such a magical experience! 📚🧜‍♀️💚 by @bethcooksonwrites

Happy World Book Day, everyone! 📚

In a world where screens dominate and short form content is queen, it makes me so happy that so many of us are still reaching for books!

THANK YOU for choosing Margot, for making her part of your bookshelves and bedtime routines, and for sharing these gorgeous, goose pimply moments with me 💛

🙏💕🧜🏼‍♀️

World Book Day Offer

Did you know that we stock self-published children’s books in our shared makers space – all written by passionate, independent authors who’ve taken a brave leap to bring their stories to life.

When you buy one of these books, you’re not just buying a bedtime story…
📚 You’re supporting a dream.
📚 You’re backing local creatives, the writer and the illustrator.
📚 You’re keeping your small independent businesses locally thriving.
With World Book Day next week, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the power of storytelling and the incredible talent within our own community. A small selection of our books is showcased in our latest window display, and we’ve more in the book corner at the back of the shop.

Pop in, discover a new favourite, and help us cheer on our indie authors 📚

📚 World Book Day is all about encouraging our children to read for pleasure so we’re running a special offer – buy a children’s book from us between now and the day itself (March 5th) and you’ll be entered into a draw for a chance of winning another children’s book of your choice, or a £10 gift voucher. Multiple entries allowed. Winners will be announced on Saturday 7th March. 📚
