When things are hard, unknown, overwhelming, or _____ we can lean in or lean out. This scripture has been one that is helping me remember to lean in and rely on God. If my only box to check was to love God and love people what about my day would need to change? Would that box be getting checked each day with how I’m currently living?

This came to mind when reading about the Pharisees being more concerned with keeping the Sabbath than the blind man receiving his sight. Yes, keeping the Sabbath is important, but their hearts weren’t in the right place. They were doing it to maintain an image and here they were looking to catch Jesus in the “wrong” because they misunderstood him & were jealous of him.

If my rigid routine costs me opportunities to be kind; to point people to Jesus, my routine needs to change. by @bethhartstack

Do you ever hear something that just sticks with you? Pastor Rob preached last week on Luke 14:15-24. A powerful call to point others to Jesus. Multiple things stuck out to me, but one I sat with later in the day and have been continuing to be intentional in this week was - “Do people see something compelling in your life?” I want people to be compelled to follow Jesus because of how they see me stewarding the life he’s given me. I wrote down a list of the things I see in others that are compelling to me and am focused on living these things out myself. Who in your life compels you to know Jesus more intimately? What about their life is compelling to you? by @bethhartstack
