Beyond the rhinestones, the hit songs, and the iconic smile, perhaps Dolly’s greatest legacy are the millions of books she put into the hands of children worldwide. Through the Imagination Library, she turned her father’s inability to read into a gift of literacy for over 200 million kids.

Dolly showed us that if you can read, you can dream - and if you can dream, you can do anything. Today on 9-25 we honor Dolly, the Book Lady, and all she accomplished for literacy and children around the world. May we all - Be Like Dolly!
