🎵 Thriftin’ time in Austiiiin… YEAH! 🎵

Today’s thrift stop: Better ATX Thrift House 🤘 They were having a Longhorn sale, which was all the convincing we needed to go digging.

But my favorite thing I learned is that Better ATX is volunteer-led and proceeds from the Thrift House help fund programs right here in the Austin community — including clothing for local students, ACC scholarships, support for families and programs benefiting kids.

So I can buy somebody else’s old stuff AND feel good about it?? Perfect. 😂

Sorry, I can’t talk right now… I’m busy doing important things 🛍️♻️

Like digging through racks, finding the pieces nobody else noticed, and slowly bringing my personality back one #thriftfind at a time 😏

Motherhood can keep you busy enough—your style doesn’t have to disappear in the process.

Anyway… if you need me, I’ll be #thrifting 💅🏼

How should thrift shops price items? 🤔

This follows news that @savers_thrift is using AI to help determine how much to charge for your donated items.

Wednesdays at Better ATX are my favorite. It’s opening day, which means fresh treasures are waiting to be discovered.

One of the best parts of being a designer is sourcing for client projects and finding beautiful, previously loved pieces that deserve a second life. You never know what you’ll uncover, and that’s exactly what keeps me coming back.

Thank you, Better ATX, for always inspiring the hunt.

Downtown Austin had me questioning my entire thrift-shopping existence after those last two store reviews 😂

So when one of YOU suggested I compare the prices to what I’ve found up north… obviously I had to… And the receipts were RECEIPTING 🫠

Same kind of pieces. Similar finds. VERY different price tags. And because I’m not going to gatekeep the places that made this comparison possible, here are the North Austin thrift stores where I found the comparable pieces:

📍 Treasures Charity Thrift Store
📍 St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store
📍 Bertram Library Thrift Store
📍 Goodwill off West Palm Valley (RR)

Also… I MISS Y’ALL. 😭 My voice is STILL refusing to cooperate, but whether my voice comes back tomorrow or not, I have TWO store reviews sitting in the hopper and I am DYING to share them.

So consider this your warning: we’re getting back to business very soon. 😂♻️

Moral support dog, the bestest buddy🥰 Today I'm sanding and getting ready to paint my new cupboard from @betteratx. I'm not sure what color I'm going to paint it yet- most likely some kinda green 🥬🍏🍐🥑🫑🫒🎾🪀🧩
(Not pictured is my best boo @braaaaaaaaaad who picked it up and set me up with all the things!)
