The summer hockey season is over and WHAT AN AMAZING BUNCH OF MEN ON THIS TEAM! As we start our new all LGBT league this fall on October 16th we all rotated to new teams .. out of luck I am staying a BIGHORN!! But I will miss these guys!! I will see them every week and play them,.. just not side by side on the bench. Not sure if I’ve mentioned this to everyone yet, but… I PLAY HOCKEY and YOU CAN TOO!!! 🏒😂🏳️‍🌈 just check out the Coachella Valley Pride hockey website and fill out the form to show your interest!! ! 🏒🥅

ACL Fest 2026 W1… what a weekend. 🎶🌧️☀️🤘 A little rain, a little mud, a whole lot of music — and some seriously great sets.

The brightest of the bright for me: Bleachers — easily my favorite set. I wanna get better! Better! Better! ❤️‍🔥 great sets by Charli xcx, RÜFÜS DU SOL, SOFI TUKKER, Turnstile, and Lorde… I’m waiting for it, that green light, I want it! 💚

Three days mucking from stage to stage, dancing, getting soaked, getting muddy, and remembering why live music is just so damn good. ACL, you were a blast. See you next time. ✌️🎸

Hockey really is for everyone! 🏒🏳️‍🌈

Monday night, 25 people graduated from our Coachella Valley Pride Hockey Learn to Play program, and I couldn’t be more proud.

For some of them, this journey started more than a year ago. While they waited for their chance to get into the program, I tried to stay connected with them — sending updates, letting them know we hadn’t forgotten about them and that their opportunity was coming.

Then I got to be there with them through almost every one of their seven sessions. I watched people who had barely skated — and some who had never played hockey — fall down, get back up, learn to stop, pass, shoot and eventually become hockey players.

That was pretty damn special. 🏒

I’m incredibly proud of everyone on our Learn to Play committee who helped make this happen. And I’m proud that the Coachella Valley Pride Hockey Association continues to invest in Learn to Play and bring new people into this sport.

Because this is about more than hockey.

It’s about creating a LGBT safe place where people can show up, try something they never thought they could do, make friends and find community.

And now these 25 new players are moving right into our inaugural CVPHA league.

25 new hockey players. 25 new members of our community.

Hockey really is for everyone. 🏒🏳️‍🌈❤️

Spent some time exploring the incredible Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum in Joshua Tree — one of those places that really has to be experienced in person.

Noah Purifoy took discarded materials and everyday objects and transformed them into these massive, fascinating works of art across the desert landscape. His work has been shown at LACMA, the Whitney and museums around the world, but there’s something completely different about seeing it here, in the desert where he actually created it.

We got especially lucky. One of the trustees of the Noah Purifoy Foundation was there and invited us inside the small museum/archive on the property, which isn’t normally open to the public. Getting to see more of his work up close and hear some of the stories behind it made an already amazing visit even better.

If you’re ever in Joshua Tree, put this place on your list. Strange, beautiful, creative and completely unique.

Giant Rock in Landers 🛸🏜️

One of those wonderfully weird places that makes the California desert so great. This massive boulder sits seemingly in the middle of nowhere — but it has quite a history.

In the 1930s, a prospector actually lived underneath it. Then in the 1950s, George Van Tassel began holding UFO conventions here after claiming he had contact with extraterrestrials. Thousands of people came to the desert to talk flying saucers and aliens. He later built the nearby Integratron, inspired in part by what he said were instructions from extraterrestrials.

Some great weird in the desert. And I love it!!

One of my recent guests took this great photo of my eagle statue at JBs Eagles Nest (link in bio) 🦅❤️ She’s named Jackie, after Big Bear’s famous bald eagle who sadly passed away.
