Hi friends 🤍

With so many new bookish friends joining this little page of mine, and over 500 of you here now 🫶🏻, I thought I’d share a few chapters about me 📖

I’m Tanja—born and raised in Germany, now calling Texas home, bilingual, coffee obsessed, and fully convinced that nobody has ever gone into a bookstore for “just one book” and actually meant it…

Small-town romance is my kryptonite, fictional men with unresolved feelings get me every time, and my TBR has long since stopped pretending to be manageable. 💁‍♀️ As for Throne of Glass… let’s just say I still think about it far more often than any normal person should.

One of my favorite things about this little bookish corner of the internet is supporting authors—especially indie authors. I love shining a light on books that deserve more love, discovering new-to-me authors, and connecting with other book lovers.

And if there’s a book event within driving distance, there’s a very good chance I already have tickets. ✨

But my favorite part of Bookstagram has been the people. What started as a place to share book reviews has led to genuine friendships, endless bookish conversations, and connections I never expected when I started this page.

Look, I’m not saying age gap romances are my weakness…

But…

Maybe it’s the tension.

Maybe it’s the forbidden element.

Maybe it’s the way these characters spend half the book trying to convince themselves this is a terrible idea while the chemistry says otherwise.

Whatever the reason, I’m a willing participant. 😌

Single dads. Fake dating. Forced proximity. Brother’s best friend. Ex’s dad.

The range is impressive, honestly…

These are some of the age gap romances that had me in an absolute chokehold for the tension, the yearning, and the deliciously questionable decision-making. 👀🔥

I don’t know what authors are putting into these small town family group chats lately…but I eat it up every single time 😂📱

There’s just something about a chaotic small town family that makes these books even better. The meddling moms, sibling roasting, cousins who know WAY too much, and group chats where absolutely nobody has boundaries??

Elite romance content honestly 🤭

CHASING SMOKE by @authorpiperrayne

Oh, my heart. 🥹 I knew this would be emotional, but I wasn’t prepared for how much I’d feel!! Love after loss, finding yourself again, and taking another chance at happiness… I adored Ansel and Collins.

Nearly two years after losing her husband, Collins is still trying to get through each day. Ansel, her late husband’s best friend, is determined to help her start living again. And the way this man shows up!! Yoga, painting, making a fool of himself just to make her smile... I loved him SO much. 🥹♥️

I loved watching Collins reclaim her life and open her heart again. Their friendship slowly becomes something more, with all the guilt and complicated feelings you’d expect. Nothing felt rushed, and her healing always had room. Some revelations broke my heart for her, but there was so much tenderness, laughter, and hope, too. That ending and the bonus chapters…🥹🤌🏻

The female friendships were beautiful, the Mercer brothers continue to be amazing, and the Thermos Crew might just be my favorite side characters EVER!! I love this family so much. And those crumbs about book three… I cannot WAIT!!

I did an immersive read, and this audio was EVERYTHING!! 🎧 @connorcrais and @narratormaxine brought all the emotion, chemistry, pain, and heartbreak as Ansel and Collins. With additional narration by Jason Clarke, Callie Dalton, JF Harding, Aaron Shedlock, Stephen Dexter, and Jill Smith, the whole cast was perfection!! Highly recommend listening!! 🩵

LOVE & NOTES by @corinneedialauthor

A broody British bad boy at the piano and a goodie two-shoes with a violin… oh, I loved these two!! And the way Julian yearns….🤌🏻

Julian and Ellise come from very different worlds and upbringings, but both are incredibly gifted musicians. She’s the school’s golden girl who feels everything so deeply. He’s a beautiful, broody, rule-breaking pianist with a tortured soul…🥹 They hate each other… but do they really..?

I loved watching their relationship shift from rivals to friends to lovers, and eventually become each other’s safe space. They’ve both experienced loss, and seeing them open up, connect, and help each other heal was so beautiful. Their vulnerable moments were just as powerful as the steamy ones. And this man falls SO hard for her….🥰

I also really appreciated how Corinne approached Ellise’s hypermobility, showing how it affected her musical performances, everyday life, and intimate moments.

This story packs an emotional punch, and you know I love that!! Add the classical music woven throughout… such a beautiful read from start to finish.

💙❄️ ARC & LC Review - GOODE TIDINGS by @jenmillwrites ❄️💙

I had SUCH a good time with this one!! A grumpy mountain hermit and a sunshine single mom with absolutely no filter sharing a cabin? This should go well…

I loved Eden and Callum’s banter and slow-building tension, but the way they showed up for each other made this story so special. Watching them work through past hurts and find something neither expected was so sweet. And Callum’s growing bond with Eden’s teenage son, Oliver? One of my favorite parts. 🥹

This touch-deprived man falls first, cares through his actions, and tries SO hard to resist Eden. Callum’s past adds a little forbidden layer, too. 🤭 He never stood a chance….Add nosy townspeople, cozy mountain charm, and a little heat…I’m in!!! ❄️

✨Happy Release Day to The Last Goodbye and @laurapavlovauthor ✨

Laura just can’t do wrong… and Bass and Briar are further proof.

My friend @chaptersandcheckups and I teamed up to buddy read this ARC! We could definitely improve our buddy-reading game 😂 but we had so much fun with this one!

We both loved Bass and Briar SO much. The banter, the chemistry, and a grumpy man with the biggest heart? YES PLEASE. 👨🏻‍🍳💙 And the friend group and hilarious group texts are always a highlight in Laura’s books. Absolute GOLD. 😂

✨ALC Review ✨

Never Been Tamed by @corinnemichaels

Heartstone Ranch is quickly becoming one of my favorite series EVER!! 🩵💕I loved Harper and Ares’s story in Never Been Tamed, and I can’t get enough of this family.

Fake dating, small-town gossip, a meddling family, an age gap, and an MMC in his 40s who is completely down bad. YES PLEASE!! 🫠

I loved Harper’s strength, kindness, and selflessness. Her scenes with her dad were so fun, and I loved how Clyde knew exactly which buttons to push. 😂

And Ares Pierce. SIR. 🫠🔥 Established in his career but still very much figuring out his life, he felt so real. I loved watching him find his footing at Heartstone Ranch and attempt ranch life. Bless his heart for jumping in. 😂 Once he falls for Harper, GOODBYE. I ate up every second. 💕

Their chemistry, the tension, the buildup… Corinne took care of us. 🔥 But I especially loved their honest, mature communication. Even with Ares planning to return to Chicago, these two actually talked through things. Imagine that!

And CLYDE. 🥹 That epilogue got me AGAIN. Apparently this man is just going to make me emotional at the end of every Heartstone Ranch book, and I’ve accepted my fate.

I listened to the ALC narrated by @jasonclarkereads and @desireeketchum and they were SO good as Ares and Harper. Duet narration will forever be my favorite, and Jason Clarke as Ares was an EXCELLENT decision. 🫠🎧

Now I need book three immediately. The paperback preorder is officially placed because obviously Never Been Tamed belongs next to West of Forever on my shelf. 🩵
