Fall has officially arrived at Beverly Crest 🍂🤎
A few little upgrades to make the barn feel even more like home — fresh mats, seasonal flowers, and all the cozy fall touches. Because our horses deserve a pretty place to call home, too. 🌼🐴🍁

Congratulations to the new owners of Pinot Noir! We only had this special guy with us for one day before he found his new home — sometimes the perfect match just happens that quickly.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this match, and wishing Pinot and his new owners all the best in this next chapter!

The details matter. 💚

We’re proud to have Farm House Tack in our corner, keeping the BCF horses & riders outfitted with some of the best in the business. From everyday essentials to show-ring favorites, we’re excited to have For Horses and LeMieux products in the barn.

@forhorsesusa
At home, we love the Ennie Breeches for their comfort and polished look around the barn. When it’s time to step into the show ring, the Ennie Breeches in Tan give us that classic, finished equestrian look. And of course, our Custom Show Jacket in BCF’s signature green and tan brings our barn colors into the ring.

@lemieuxproductsofficial
Our horses are outfitted in the LeMieux Classic Saddle Pads, including our custom Farm House Tack-branded pads, paired with LeMieux Stirrups and Stirrup Leathers for a polished, functional setup both at home and at the horse show.

Quality products, exceptional care, and happy horses — just the way we like it. 🐴

Thank you, Farm House Tack, for supporting Beverly Crest Farm!

PART V - THE NEXT GENERATION
Where Tradition Meets Performance

Nearly 90 years after the Hemby family first established Beverly Crest, the name is once again being carried into the show ring.
Today, Beverly Crest is building a program for riders and horses who want more.
More preparation.
More opportunity.
More competition.
More ribbons.
More goals worth chasing.
We want to develop riders who aspire to compete on the Premier circuit and at national finals, and horses capable of reaching their highest potential.
We believe champions aren't created by shortcuts.
They're created through good horsemanship, consistency, integrity, hard work, and a program that believes in the process.
Even our horses carry pieces of the history.
Our Derby horse, High Roller, carries a name honoring T.E. Hemby Jr.—a small connection between the horses we have today and the family members who came before us.
That is what Beverly Crest means to us.
It's not simply a name.
It's not simply a farm.
It's a continuation of something that began in 1937.
And now, it's our responsibility to take that legacy forward.
Built on Tradition.
Focused on Performance.
Committed to the Next Generation.

Happy National Dog Day to our favorite staff member! 🐾

From greeting everyone who walks into the barn to making sure all the water buckets pass inspection, Harley does it all! She takes her job as BCF’s official greeter, supervisor, and resident farm manager very seriously.

We’re not sure how we’d run the barn without her! 🩷🐶

PART IV — BRINGING BEVERLY CREST BACK

A legacy continued
The original Beverly Crest farm in Charlotte eventually gave way to development.
But a legacy doesn't disappear simply because a farm does.
The horses, the stories, the lessons, and the name continued through the Hemby family.
Today, Alexa Hemby and her granddaughter, Dawson Amick, are bringing Beverly Crest back, building a new chapter on the foundation established nearly 90 years ago.
The goal isn't to recreate the past.
It's to build upon it.
Today's Beverly Crest is focused on developing competitive horses and riders, preparing them for the premier circuit, national finals, and the highest levels of the sport, while continuing the family's involvement in sales and quality imports.
The sport has evolved.
The program has evolved.
But the foundation remains the same.
Horsemanship first.
Integrity always.
Excellence through hard work.
What started with a farm in Charlotte in 1937 is becoming something new again.
The name is back.
The legacy continues.

PART III — THE HEMBY HORSEMEN

The people behind the legacy

The history of Beverly Crest has never been just about the farm.
It has always been about the people who lived it.
From accomplished trainers such as Red Frazier and Jack Towell, to the Hemby family members who spent their lives in the saddle, generations of horsemen helped shape what Beverly Crest would become.
Alex Hemby was one of those young riders, developing his skills and competing during the farm's early years.
His passion for horses became part of a family tradition that would continue through the generations.
That tradition eventually reached Alexa Hemby, granddaughter of T.E. Hemby Sr.
Alexa grew up riding and competing in the open jumpers, experiencing firsthand the dedication, discipline, and horsemanship required to compete at a high level.
The lessons learned along the way became more than riding lessons.
They became a philosophy:
Put the horse first.
Work hard.
Have integrity.
Do things the right way.
And those lessons would eventually be passed down again.
