this spring/ summer i did lots of baby bat rescue and raising with @sussexbatgroup and it’s now time most of them are being released! We rescue and rehab injured and orphaned babies over the pupping season and thankfully most of them are well enough to make their own way now in the wild 🦇 by @bexonearth

Welling up over this incredible early morning walk, stood behind this little guy and made sure nothing tried to eat him as he made his way to the ocean for the first time! Good luck on your journey little one 🫶 🐢 ✨

An absolute privilege to see the juvenile storks being released the other day at @kneppwildlandfdn with the @whitestorkproject

49 juvenile storks took their first flight, and now they will all be starting to make their journeys across the sea 🌊 🫶 by @bexonearth

Had the wonderful experience of seeing the dalmation pelicans at @wwtarundel on Sunday. This species became locally extinct in the UK and we last have records suggesting they were here 2,000 years ago but disappeared due to pressures on wetlands from farming.

Theres not yet an official reintroduction of the species but it would be amazing to see, as similarly to reintroducing storks pelicans help keep wetland and aquatic habitats in healthy order and can be a good indicator of ecosystem health 🏞️🩵

absolute privilege to learn from the bat man himself @ry_thenatureguy 🦇 Got to hear about how Knepp’s currently supporting 13 of our 18 UK bat species and their plans to conserve one of our rarer species (horseshoe bats) 🌿

if you didn’t already know, I have been working for @kneppwildlandfdn as one of the young guides as part of a scheme to get young people into the environmental sector. I can’t recommend applying to this opportunity enough, I have learnt so much from engagement to assisting and encouraging rewilding. It has been an honour to be working on site learning about all the different projects… and you get to do amazing things like this bat walk last night!! ✨🖤 by @bexonearth
