Recognizing that healthcare professionals dedicate so much of themselves to caring for others, Francesca founded Beyond Nursing Experience, a nonprofit focused on supporting healthcare professionals beyond the bedside—mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually.

Through wellness initiatives, community events, and the annual Beyond Nursing Summit, she is creating spaces where healthcare professionals can connect, grow, recharge, and explore new possibilities beyond their clinical roles.

Meet Faisa Ali, MPH, our next panelist at the Beyond Nursing Summit!

Faisa is a maternal health strategist, storyteller, and entrepreneur with a passion for transforming how women and families experience healthcare.

She is the founder of Nuuma, a women’s health and wellness platform that makes research and data more accessible through culturally meaningful experiences, and CEO of Peapod Studio, a creative agency focused on parenthood and women’s health.
With a background in global health advocacy and experience as a full-spectrum doula, Faisa brings a unique perspective shaped by her Somali heritage, her journey as a first-generation American, and her experience as a mother of two.

From research to real-life experiences, Faisa is showing us how culture and creativity can reshape conversations around maternal health.
