One year ago today on May 21, 2024 we transferred one of our last embryos with extremely guarded hearts since we know first hand nothing is guaranteed in life. A year later we have been blessed by baby Sam! Happy transfer-versary!

Our newborn photos from @oak.wynn.photography are here and we are so in love with them. Not only do they capture this special time with baby Samuel but also features our new home. So incredibly thankful to be here in this stage of our lives. Here are a few from the shoot!

Please join us in welcoming to the world our rainbow baby Samuel Cheuk Heem Tse. A blessing and a miracle indeed after a 13 year journey to get here. Samuel means "God has heard". Baby Sam came via c-section on January 31 at 4:52pm at 7lb 6oz! No idea where he was inside me as you could not tell! The choice to do an elective c section was really good in the end as the placenta ended up being dangerously low and that would have been bad. Still lost about 1.5L of blood so recovery took a while. Feeling better today and less nauseous. Just basking in newborn snuggles, feeding, and sleeps all day long. Another day in the hospital and then we head home as a family of 3!
----
Every time either one of us holds baby Sam we keep feeling like we are waiting to give him back to his parents but then realize we are his parents! 🤣

Happy birthday @goldennamedluna! Today you are 6! I still remember the puppy snuggles, the shark teeth, the running up & down 3 flights of stairs to potty train you, and all the moments from puppyhood to now! You have been with us through a few ivf cycles, the grief, the joy, and survived through the first year of parenthood with us all. Love you lots Luna! by @beyondumami

Had the chance to check out @asiafest.yeg tonight!
There are over 120+ vendors with 40 of these being food!
Happening at @shopcurrents this weekend September 25-27! 2-11pm!
Free admission
More space compared to previous years!
We had food from @juu_ku_yeg @kryptonite_xxiii @eatbananainyeg @javachefyeg @crazyrichicken @dulceriafilipina
Lines were manageable even with a toddler! Having a stroller helped so we could use the bottom of the basket to hold food! More spread out so it didn't feel claustrophobic compared to before. Make sure to layer up as it was definitely getting cooler!

happy mid autumn festival!!!

Last night @therealdanprime and I celebrated our 15th year (!!) wedding anniversary @izakayatomo. Thankfully toddler Sam does well with sit down meals and we made sure to order him some noodles!
We had the crispy sushi canapés & tomo tots to start.
Yellowtail sashimi, Sakura roll (chop chop with blue fin & salmon), hagigatsu maki (blue fin chutoro), oyster ponzu.
Thanks to James our server for the creme brûlée to end our meal! One of my favourite desserts!
---
Service was quick and everything was spot on! Usually we do take out so it's nice to be able to sit down. Cozy place with mostly benches for seating. However they did have a high chair so that helped! They just gave us a shorter bench to make sure that the high chair wasn't in the way of dinner traffic. We dined a bit earlier too to keep to Sam's schedule.

Still obsessed with my wedding cake & flowers even 15 years later! Of course being married to @therealdanprime is the icing on the cake. Happy 15! the years have gone by steadily, some years were fast others were slow. I'm still sort of sad that we don't have tons of videos, but the pictures shot by @chrislukphoto are still fantastic to this day! Everything was perfect. It had rained earlier that morning in Toronto but the day turned out to be gorgeous and hot!
----
For those interested the cake flavours were passionfruit & raspberry. Then instead of fondant he used white chocolate rolled out and wrapped! Real flowers on the top - wedding flowers were orchids & lilies

Fun in the sun! Play date this morning with @edenaaaaaaaa & Z. This is after a 9am swim class. Who would have thought I could be so productive? Previously saturdays meant sleeping in. At least we all had pastries and more caffeine. Sam had a lot of fun showing Zoey his outdoor setup- water table, house, slide & chalk! Oh and of course Luna wanted to be involved in it all! by @beyondumami

Two pieces that @therealdanprime & I did a collab on! I threw the mugs, he taped them with the pattern he wanted, chose the glaze colours and I glazed them up. I think they turned out great! by @beyondumami
