Small update on the weekend. Was still fighting traction and starting to have issues with dbw throttle body closing again, made a small improvement with 7.35 so reset record by a small amount. Though last run dbw was fixed but, all gears disappeared, turned out to be the input shaft, so need a billet upgrade this winter for that. @beytek_ @bjprace @streetweeksweden #maxxecu by @beytek_

Racing at @crailraceway. Unfortunately we had a torque converter failure. Previous days to the event testing transbrake I overheated the converter which melted the plastic sealing ring between the turbine / stator and the lockup clutches. This meant that the pressure from the converter leaked through and activated the lockups during the tests which then burnt out the converter lockup clutches. Naturally with high stall converters they struggle to hold the torque on their own without the lockups and this is what you see here. Decided to just send it anyway. I had the box clamp up for 1400nm torque to protect the box clutches which caused the car to fall on its face at the start, then when 3 bar boost ramped in it slipped through 3rd, 4th,5th and eventually held in 6th and 7th only because it was down at 5200 rpm below masssive torque that this engine makes.

Was a frustrating day to say the least but you’re not learning something if it all stays togesther. Onwards and upwards #rx7 #crail #drag by @beytek_

2 years of battling transbrake issues with tight torque converters and box issues it finally works!!! No more clutch dropping launches spinning all 4 to the 1/8 mile. Should be much faster now being able to control the launch. I’m absolutely buzzzing! #transbrake #vr6 #8hp #nitrous #turbo by @beytek_
