A F**KING DISASTER!!!!! 🤬🤦🏻‍♂️😢

That’s all that can be said about today’s attempts at the “Best of the Best” event @crailraceway

After winning the “Fastest Manual” class at the event last year, I wanted to win it two years in a row but always knew that was going to be a challenge with some new and exciting entrants.

The clutch had been playing up for the last few trips out, but I thought it would survive the day at least before changing it out for next season.

Unfortunately due to the weather conditions, traction off the line was very poor. In order to try to help with the poor 60ft times, I started dropping the tyre pressures gradually. Gear selection was proving difficult and on my 5th run, I broke something. As a result, I could no longer select 1st gear. It’s taken 5 years of pure abuse but I guess that’s the joy of motorsports! 😂

Small update on the weekend. Was still fighting traction and starting to have issues with dbw throttle body closing again, made a small improvement with 7.35 so reset record by a small amount. Though last run dbw was fixed but, all gears disappeared, turned out to be the input shaft, so need a billet upgrade this winter for that. @beytek_ @bjprace @streetweeksweden #maxxecu

The @wecrewsade VIP Night @gravityshowuk has to be one of the coolest events I’ve driven at! Grateful for friends that helped me get this car done to the finish that it’s at, can’t wait to jump back in the saddle!
