American Football Mission Trip to Kiev, Kharkov & Poltava Ukraine in 1992 w/ Kevin Dickey who let me crash on his couch when he played at UCLA and I moved to LA chasing @jennygyo. The people of Ukraine were kind, fun loving and desperate for freedom. I remember they would not speak with us unless we had a drink with them, once they had a drink they would share the deep sadness of their daily realities and ask questions about Madonna, Pepsi or the Cowboys, anything Americana. They were wonderfully curious and proud, yet broken in the same moment. We would share the Gospel and watch as the Peace of God would come in the room at the Revelation of His Love for these people. All men crumble when the Love of the Holy Spirit shows up. It was still Communist in 1992 and was a dreary place that lacked vibrancy and life that can only come from free men and women. Ukraine is now a much different place from 1992 and I don’t know the geo-political intricacies of this war but I am praying that Ukraine will keeps its Sovereignty and its people will keep their Freedom. by @bgriffith1

Looking forward to seeing Josh tonight in Concordia Universities version of Samuel Beckett’s Endgame. It belongs to the Absurd theatre genre. Not sure what that means but Josh is in the lead role. Good luck Josh. #lovemyboy#prouddad

“Endgame is an expression of existential angst and despair and depicts Beckett's philosophical worldview, namely the extreme futility of human life and the inescapable dissatisfaction and decay intrinsic to it.” by @bgriffith1
