POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I downloaded a Jim Rohn talk called “The Day That Turns Your Life Around,” and it sat on my computer for several years without me pressing play.

I finally played it in 2008, on a ninety minute drive to San Diego, after my mortgage company was gone. I was blaming the economy and the president for all of it, and a Girl Scout story I had never heard before is what stopped me.

I want you to pick one of the five lessons in this post and do its “for you” step today.

20 men. Three rounds. One trophy.

Monday the Collective lands at Victoria National in Newburgh, Indiana. Golf Digest Top 100, number one in the state, and a Tom Fazio design carved out of a reclaimed coal mine with water on 17 of 18 holes. Slope 152. Nowhere to hide.

We don’t ease in. Monday at 4 PM, straight from check-in, every man walks onto holes 14 through 18. The club calls that stretch The Gauntlet. Your score there sets your tee time for Tuesday’s 36.

Modified Stableford. Your handicap gives you a number. You beat it or you don’t. Most points across three rounds takes the Legends Trophy and a free invite to the next one.

Patrick McNally took Scottsdale. Seve Alvarez took Ballyhack. Jeff Kirkland took Briggs Ranch. Tuesday night we find out who takes Victoria.

The field is on slide 6. Live scores, groups, and the trophy all week in our stories.

Where pressure exposes you, and brotherhood defines you.
