My supplement stack at 40 years old might surprise you... 👇

Had to post this pic from after BJJ training yesterday to mark 6 months on the mats!

Hands down, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The physical and mental benefits have been incredible.

And for those wondering, my go-to supplements are pretty simple...

- High dosages of quality sleep, good nutrition/hydration, creatine, and SWEAT.

- Low dosages of phone use, excuses, complaining, and worrying about things I can’t control.

- Daily doses of gratitude, discipline, and doing hard things.

The goal isn’t just to live longer. It’s to live BETTER. More energy. More purpose. More LIFE. by @bguyer5

One of the most important things I want my 3 kids to know when they compete: My love for them is NEVER tied to their performance.

That’s why I try to be a constant signal of LOVE from the sidelines.

1 = I
4 = LOVE
3 = YOU

No matter the score, the stats, or the outcome, I want them to look over and know one thing: I Love You.

Also, huge shoutout to @143.baseball for their new luggage-style bat bag! Absolutely love it and couldn’t recommend it more 👊 by @bguyer5

One of the biggest keys to performing FREE: Detach from outcomes. Attach to the controllables.

8 words I tell my 3 kids before competition: Do your best. Let go of the rest.

Do the absolute best with what you can control (responses, effort, attitude, etc.) and let go of any outcome.

And here’s the paradox: the less you chase outcomes, the more likely the outcomes you want become a natural by-product.

If I could go back and teach my younger high school self the concepts and tools I know now, these would be at the top of the list.

Bryce Harper showed exactly what it means to ‘flush it’ last night. Making a mistake, moving on, and coming back the next inning with a huge home run.

I first learned about the Flush-It Routine watching the 2004 College World Series, when Cal State Fullerton had a toilet in their helmet rack for players to physically “flush” their mistakes.

The man behind it was Ken Ravizza—one of the pioneers of mental performance and someone I was incredibly fortunate to work with during my career with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The lesson is simple: You can’t change the last play. But you can keep it from affecting the NEXT one.

Learn from it. FLUSH IT. Get back to NOW. 💪🧠🚽 by @bguyer5
