What if your next 3.1 miles could mean someone else’s next meal? ❤️

For some, Thanksgiving means a table full of food, laughter, and family. For others, it’s a painful reminder of what they don’t have.

This year, we want to change that. One step. One meal. One act of love at a time.

Our goal is simple but POWERFUL: 300 WOMEN WALKING IN GRATITUDE. 300 WOMEN WALKING WITH PURPOSE. 300 WOMEN COMING TOGETHER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. 🧡

Join Black Girl Walking Club for our Miles of Gratitude Thanksgiving 5K, where every step represents something greater than ourselves.

🧡 November 14th | 10:00 AM — 300 women walking in gratitude, united by sisterhood and service.

🧡 November 21st | 12:00–3:00 PM — We turn those miles into meals by providing a free Thanksgiving grab-and-go community dinner for our neighbors.

Because no one should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. No one should feel forgotten during a season meant for togetherness.

Imagine 300 women showing up, not because they have to, but because they care. Imagine what happens when gratitude becomes generosity and sisterhood becomes service.

We’re not just walking 3.1 miles. We’re walking so someone else knows they matter.

Because sisterhood doesn’t stop at the polls!

Black women have always been at the heart of change in our communities. We’ve organized, advocated, marched, and fought to make our voices heard. And this election season, we’re reminding each other that our voices matter, our communities matter, and our votes matter.

From October 24 – November 3, BGWC is challenging you to grab your voting bestie and make your voices heard!

Sisters, we’ve walked a lot of miles together, but this may have been one of the most important walks we’ve ever taken. 🖤

We’ve walked for our health. We’ve walked through grief. We’ve walked in celebration, in solidarity, and in sisterhood. We’ve walked to remind one another that no woman should have to navigate life alone.

But on 10/10 at 10, we walked HOME.

Beautiful Black women dressed in black filled the streets of Newark, walking toward something we have spent years building together: BGWC Studio — A Space to Be Held.

And while the destination was 81 Halsey Street, the meaning of this walk was so much greater.

We were walking toward a future where Black women have more spaces to rest, heal, move, laugh, grow, and simply BE. Spaces where we don’t have to prove our worth or carry the weight of the world. Spaces created by us, with us, and for us.

Because BGWC Studio isn’t just another wellness studio. It’s an invitation to come home to yourself while finding community with women who are committed to doing the same.

Whether it’s Pilates, yoga, dance fitness, massage, meditation, or simply being surrounded by sisterhood, we want you to find something here that reminds you that you deserve to be poured into, too.

To every sister who has walked a mile with us, whether you’ve been here since our very first walk or joined us for the first time on October 10th, thank you. You are part of this story.

We started by creating a space for Black women to walk together. Now, we’ve created a space for Black women to stay awhile.

So, sisters, make BGWC Studio your home. Come as you are. Bring your whole self. There’s room for you here.

We’ve walked so many miles together. Now, we finally have a place to call home. 🖤

A sea of Black women. Dressed in BLACK. Walking in POWER. 🖤

There was something powerful about seeing Black women take up space in the streets of Newark. Unapologetically. Boldly. Together.

Every step represented sisterhood, resilience, joy, and the beauty of what happens when Black women come together with a shared purpose.

We weren’t just walking through Newark. We were making our presence FELT.

Different stories. Different journeys. One beautiful sisterhood.

BGWC, we are planning our BIGGEST Miles of Gratitude yet! 🖤🍂

And this year, it’s bigger than a walk. Miles of Gratitude is a two-part community giveback experience.

🥫 PART ONE: WE WALK & WE GIVE
Join us for our Miles of Gratitude 5K, where every step is rooted in gratitude and service. We’re asking everyone to bring canned and boxed non-perishable food items as we come together to support our community.

🍽️ PART TWO: WE SET THE TABLE
The following week, we’ll open the doors of BGWC Studio for a FREE community Thanksgiving dinner—a warm meal, community, conversation, love, and a seat at the table for those who need one.

Your registration and donations will help us make this dinner possible.

We don’t just want to talk about gratitude. We want to put our gratitude into action.

We walk. We give. We serve. We gather. And we make room at the table. 🖤
